Goodbye darling // Huaze Lei X reader {Completed one shot}

Lei's mother joined us soon after I introduced myself to her. We talked more and I quickly realized how much she was like my own mother. I felt safe in her presence, almost as if she could save me from a bullet.

"Y/n, where are you from?" She asks. I smile. 

"I've lived in shanghai my whole life. I actually go to the same school as Lei and we have become somewhat friends." I say turning to look at lei and he smiles. I take a sip of the broth in my soup and then place my finished bowl in the dishwasher where the rest were. Lei smiles. 

"How was it? It was my first time cooking for someone else, was it good?" He asks and I nod. 

"It was great Lei, you did a very good job making it. Well done." I say with a smile and Lei smiles back. It was good to see him so happy even after what had happened with Si last night. I didn't remember anything that happened after my 3rd shot. I have never drunk that many shots at one time and I was still confused at how I got here. I assumed that I was carried here but I could be wrong. In fact, I should ask Lei now.

"Hey Lei, how did I get here?" I ask. He takes another sip of his broth then places the spoon in the bowl in front of him. 

"I carried you to the bus and brought you here. I didn't know where you lived so that's why I brought you here instead of taking you back to your house. My mom changed you because I didn't want to make you sleep in your clothes that smelled like vodka. These are Jing's PJs. She left them here after staying over one night after a party and she never came back for them" He says. I nod. Lei was a very sweet guy and I really appreciated him for taking care of me. 

"Do you have anything else to do today, I want to thank you with a meal for taking care of me," I say. Lei shakes his head and I smile. 

"I was really craving some sweet and spicy ribs, would you like them?" Lei asks. I nod. 

"Of course," I say. I quickly stand up out of my chair. 

"Can you take me home so I can get changed and ready?" I ask. Lei nods. 

"Let's go." He says. I nod. I slip back into my dirty clothes back in the guest room and place the silk PJs on the bed folded. I walk back downstairs and slip my shoes on. Lei somehow got dressed quicker than I did. He wore a sweater and a pair of jeans. He looked very good for not trying too hard.

"Are you ready?" He asks. I nod. He holds open the door for me and I walk outside and follow him to his car. He had a nice car which was cool. I slid into the passenger seat and he slid into the driver's. I put my seatbelt on. 

"Let's go, tell me where to go and I will go there." He says. 

"Are you still in love with Jing?" I ask after a brief moment of silence. Lei is quiet for a few seconds but then speaks. 

"I don't know...I guess I might be. It's hard to let go of something you really love especially if it's someone who saved you before anything or anyone else did." He says. I nod in agreement. He was right. He was still in love with her and it was going to be hard to say goodbye. 

"She's getting married," I say. He nods.

 "I know she is, and I have to move on somehow but it's so hard to just say goodbye to someone like her who I have loved for so long." He says. 

"Remember what I told you before, It will get better and you will be able to move on at some point in your lifetime. Even if you can't get to her, there are other girls in this world that are just as amazing as Jing." I say staring at the road ahead of me, feeling so bad for Lei I felt like crying. We soon arrived back at my house and I walked inside to get changed. Lei went in to speak to my parents about where I was.

"Oh my god, you are so handsome!" I hear my mom say from my bedroom. I changed into a skirt and a black shirt and a trench coat. I felt like I looked cute so I put on a tiny bit of makeup to complete the look. I felt like I was about to go on a date with my boyfriend but it was just lunch with Lei. My friend.....not my boyfriend.....

Hey guys, a bit of a shorter chapter today. I felt like it's okay because usually my chapters go to about 2k words but that's okay. Anyways the reads on this book are going up pretty quickly and that's great thank you all so much. Anyways BYE I LOVE YOU ALL
