I woke up the next morning feeling awful. I had a bad headache and my whole body was stiff. I grunt as I try to move. I notice lay sit up and look over at me. I try to move again but it just hurt. The movement caused me to cry out in pain. Lei quickly gets up and walks over to my bed to make sure I am okay.

"Y/n? What is wrong?" He says as he sits down at the edge of the bed. 

"My whole body is in pain, something is wrong," I say trying to look at him. He places his hand on my arm. 

"You are okay, you must be feeling the aftermath of the fight from yesterday. Take it slow." He says as he lifts me up slowly so I am sitting up. I flinch as my back slowly starts to lose the pain.

"Thank you, Lei, I don't know what I would do without you," I say as I lay my head against his shoulder. He smiles and puts his arm around me. A nurse walks into our room.

"I'm here to check up on Miss Cheng." She says. Lei nods and stands up and walks over to his bed. The nurse comes over to me and pulls the curtain around the entire bed. She starts to check over me.

"How have you been feeling this morning?" She asks. I shake my head, 

"I woke up and my whole body was in pain, it started to go away a few minutes ago." I say. She nods. 

"That would just be the pain from the beating you took yesterday. It will be fine soon just give it an hour and all of your pain should be gone." She says as she takes my temperature.

After a while, she finishes up and moves over to Lei. I was so excited to get out of this hospital. We would be able to lead in about 2 hours. I was pretty tired today even though I had just woken up, the nurse had told me that having a concussion can mess up your sleeping habits a bit. I say quietly listening to Lei speak to the nurse.

I was in a pretty good mood until I heard the nurse start speaking to Lei. The nurse looked quite young. She was pretty, thin, and looked like she had just applied a fresh layer of makeup. When I heard her speak I could tell that her voice changed to a very soft and flirty-like tone from the way she just talked to me. I could tell that she was into him.

"So....how old are you?" She asked. 

"Uh, I am 24," Lei says softly. Lei was quite shy so I could tell just by his voice that he was uncomfortable. 

"Oh, so we're the same age! I heard you are getting released today. I'm sad, I'm going to miss seeing you. We should go out for lunch sometime." She says. I listen to her speak and sigh.

As much as I liked Lei I have been worried that I'm not good enough for him. Lei is rich, smart, handsome, and talented. Every girl wants him. I'm just a normal girl. I knew that at any moment I could be attacked by a bunch of fangirls who like him. Nobody at school knows that Lei and I are dating now, so I am scared of how they are going to react to the news if we tell them.

I continue to listen to the nurse speak to Lei. 

"I think you would have a great time with me." I hear her say as her voice gets a bit more seductive. 

"Excuse me....but I have a girlfriend, and she is right outside of this curtain so please do not speak to me this way," Lei says. I hear her mumble something under her breath as she opens the curtain. Her eyes meet with mine and they widen. She immediately leaves the room quickly without saying anything.

"Did you hear all of that?" Lei asks. I nod slowly. He gets up and walks over to me then sits down on my bed. He puts his hand on my back. I guess he noticed something is wrong. "What's the matter?" He asks. I sigh softly.

"Lei, why did you choose to date me?" I ask. He smiles. 

"Because, your beautiful, kind, and you care about me." He says. I nod. "Did you think I only dated you because I felt bad for you?" He asks. I nod slowly. He frowns then wraps his arms around me causing a lump to grow in my throat. He holds me against him tightly and puts his hand on the back of my head as I bury my face into the nook of his shoulder.

"Y/n, I date people I care about. I am not the type of guy to just date a girl because I am bored. If I am dating you, it's because I love you." He says. I can't help but smile softly. I could tell he was being truthful. Even though we have not known each other for that long, I have felt like I have known him for years. I knew in my heart I could trust him because of his character. He cares about me, and he genuinely loves me.

"I'm sorry I doubted you," I say softly against his shoulder. He squeezes me a bit tighter. 

"It's okay, hearing about your ex hurting you makes me believe that your past relationships were tough." He says and I nod. 

"I won't ever hurt you on purpose. If I do, please just remember that I was never intending to hurt you." He says. I nod.

"Thank you, Lei." I say. He smiles and nods. We pull apart from each other. 

"Hey we are allowed to leave in about 20 minutes, we should probably start cleaning up a bit," I say. He nods. Lei has been here for a while so he had to have a bunch of stuff packed that he needed. His dirty clothes were on the floor and there were books on the nightstand that he had been reading. We cleaned up quickly. We had about 10 minutes left so we decided to just stay close to each other.

I knew that Lei was the perfect boyfriend and I don't think anything can change that. I just hope I don't run into Li Jun and his girlfriend again.
