Lei and I walk out of the hospital hand in hand. He is carrying his bag in his other hand. He gives me a small smile. "Would you like to go on our first date?" He asks. I suddenly feel a rush of butterflies enters my stomach. I guess he could see me becoming giggly. I tuck a piece of my hair behind my ears and shyly look down. He chuckles. 

"Heh...okay. Why don't we both go home so we can get ready?" I say. He smiles and nods. 

"I will pick you up later." He says smiling. I nod. 

"Oh, let me text you my address then," I say pulling out my phone. I quickly type in my address then send it to him. His phone goes off and he smiles. 

"Get home safe. I will see you soon." He says. I nod smile. We part ways and I head to the bus stop nearby. 

I smile to myself on the bus knowing that I will be getting to go on my first date. As the bus rolls down the street closer to my house I keep feeling more excited. I finally arrive back home. I quickly rush inside and start to get ready. I throw on a cute outfit and do my hair. I love the way I look so I decide to take a selfie.

I smile. I decide to sit down and scroll through Instagram for a bit while I wait for Lei to get here. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I hear a knock on my door. I walk over with my coat in my hand. I open the door and standing in front of me is a handsomely dressed Lei. I feel my cheeks growing hot and he smiles. He leans in and kisses my forehead gently causing me to feel all giggly again. He smiles again and takes my hand in his leading me out the door. I lock the door behind me.

We walk down the street holding hands. "So where are we going?" I ask. He smiles. 

"Well first we are going for lunch, then we are going to go on a walk in the park." He says. I smile. 

"Yay! I'm so excited." I say with a big smile on my face. He chuckles and we continue to walk down the street. We walk into the restaurant and sit down. We order hot pot.

"So, are you feeling better?" I ask. 

"Yeah. It's still a bit sore where I was stabbed, but that might be because I got the stitches out earlier." He says. I nod. 

"If you need anything please tell me," I say. He smiles and places his hand on top of mine. I feel so safe when he touches me. 

"I promise you I am okay. I will tell you if I feel sick, okay?" He says softly. I nod. I guess he saw that I was still a bit worried about him. 

"How is your ankle. Is it hard walking with that boot on?" He asks. I share my head. 

"I'm just glad that I can wear a boot and I don't have to use crutches," I say. All of a sudden 2 people come to sit down at the table next to us. I turned to look quickly and when I saw who it was my heart dropped to my stomach. Lei looks at me with a worried look. 

"Y/n." He says. I turned my face to look at him. 

"Lei we need to leave," I said shaking. He nods and we begin to stand up. Right, when I stand up I hear the voices of the person I never wanted to see again. It was Li jin. 

"Well look who it is babe, I could have sworn she was dead." He says laughing. My back is turned from him but I could tell he was grinning. Lei quickly rushes over to my side and holds onto my arm. 

"Yo, Y/n who is that?" He asks. Lei turns around. 

"I'm her boyfriend." He says with a calm tone. Li jun laughs. Lei takes my arm and we begin to walk away. 

"Hey, I'm not done talking to you." Li Jun says getting up and walking over to us. I hold onto Lei's arm tightly. Lei turns around to look at Li jun again. 

"Excuse me, we have somewhere to be," Lei says. Lei begins walking to the door and I still hold onto his arm tightly. Li jun gives up and walks away. Lei and I walk down the street away from the restaurant. All I wanted to do was get away from there. 

"Are you okay?" he asks. I was shaking. He takes me over to a bench to sit down. He slowly lowers me down. "Hey, you are okay." He says softly rubbing circles on my back gently. My breathing slows down and my body just collapses into Lei's arms. "He is not anywhere near us, everything is okay." He says holding me in his arms tightly. He runs his hand down the back of my head. I feel calm now. 

"Who was that?" He asks. I take a deep breath. 

"That is my ex-boyfriend Li Jun. He is the reason I was in the hospital." I say. He nods. 

"Don't worry. He won't bother you. I will keep you safe." He says. I nod. I lay my head on his chest and just sit there. I close my eyes as he comforts me. I feel really calm now. 

I look up into Lei's eyes. His eyes glimmer like diamonds. A small smile spreads across my face. He slowly leans down to kiss me. He presses his lips against mine gently. We stay there for a few seconds then pull apart. 

"I love you." He says softly. I smile at him. 

"I love you too," I say. I lay my head back down and close my eyes.
