"Yes, that is right, Lord Seventh. I don't remember anything so, I would like to request Ino-san, from the Yamanaka clan to look inside my mind for any remaining memories or anything that could give me a hint of who I am" "So, you don't even remember how you ended up near our village?" Shikamaru-san asked suspiciously. "Yes. That is true. Please help me. I would like to go home." I requested. "But you do remember other basic information about the world?" Shikamaru-san was getting even more tense because of me and why wouldn't he. A bigger and more modern village means more and bigger problems. Ofcourse they had to be careful incase I turned out to be a murderer or something.
What else could I do? I knew Uzumaki Naruto, the Seventh Hokage, was a very kind man and always helped others. He was my only hope, and he didn't let me down. He immediately summoned Ino-san for me for her help, and I couldn't control myself. My eyes started becoming blurry. "I would like to thank you so much for all the support you are lending me, Lord Seventh. It is very difficult to trust someone who can't even trust themselves yet, and still you never even... Thank you so much. I am forever indebted to you"
"Ora ora! You don't have to do that! We are all humans. We should all stick together, don't you think?" He said reassuringly. It relieved me quite a bit.
There was a knock on the door. When Shikamaru-san asked them to come in, it was Ino-san. They introduced her to me and she immediately agreed to help. She put her hand on my head and asked me to try to remember anything about myself. Anything I like, anyone I love, my family, anything about myself.
I tried hard but I couldn't really remember anything. After about 30 mins of this session, we reported back to Lord Seventh's office. "Well, Ino? You find anything?" Shikamaru-san asked her. "Your memory is incredibly foggy. I don't think it's a jutsu. I think it is some kind of amnesia because of a shock or maybe just Alzheimer's, we can't say what disease for sure, but it's not an enemy jutsu. Also, all I could find was that you seem to interact with kids a lot. Like a bunch of them, looked like a classroom to me, but a really battered and poor one." Ino-san told me. "I'm relieved that it's not an enemy jutsu. I'm also relieved that now it's a disease and if we know the disease, we can cure it. I want to thank you a lot but now I have other things to worry about." I told her.
"I still can't-" and door barged open as Boruto, the Hokage's son ran inside. "Tou-chan! What is this? When will you still sending me on these D-Rank missions? I want a more important mission where I can showoff my skills!" I couldn't help it. I just instinctively pulled his ears and started being strict with him, "Hey! That's not a way to talk to your father! Even if it doesn't matter to you that he is the best regarded Hokage and shinobi in the world, it should matter to you that he's your father! You should learn to respect him!" I almost raised my voice at him to which he pacified a little and then I continued, "He will send you on important missions when your performance is of the level required. If you do your D-Rank missions improperly, in the report it will mean that you don't have the skills to do even a D-Rank mission. That's why you're not moving forward!" "Ooooohhhhh! So, that's the case! That's why! Sorry Tou-chan! I'll get the higher rank missions in a jiffy! You just watch!" And Boruto stormed out the way he came in. "Wow. He hasn't listened to anyone like that before" Naruto says. "Oh yes! You need a job, right? Will you teach at the Ninja Academy? I mean we are looking for a teacher who left a while ago but we don't have any suitable candidates." "Hein? You're willing to give me a job? That means you're okay with me living here?" I was surprised. "Well, it is not a problem now that we know you are not under any jutsu but it's a disease that's causing memory loss. Also, we just saw your skills on the most wild kid of the academy. Plus, it will be easier for you to get your disease checked our from Sakura." Shikamaru-san explained. "Thank you. I will gladly accept this job. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to working in the academy!" I exclaimed.
