Chapter 6

It's been a few days since the incidence and the police have called me to give s report and statement regarding it. I went to the police station and saw those guys over there and instantly covered myself more with my clothes.
"I'm Officer Rencho. If you are comfortable, tell us something about the incident. If you would like me to call someone for you then you can tell me, that works too."
"Umm... Can you call Shino-san for me?" I asked.
"Ofcourse. Do you have his number? Or anything that I could contact him with?"
"Well, he must be at the Academy rn, so can you ask Iruka-san, the principal to send him? Here's the number" I handed him a sheet and after about half an hour, Shino-san arrived.
"So, tell me. What exactly happened?" The officer asked.
I told him everything about walking into them and what they did and how I felt barely without crying.
"Thank you. I will make sure that never do anything of such sorts again." Said the officer as he led us outside.
"You are very brave, that's because you told them about a really painful incident without crying." He said.
"I'm sorry Shino-san. I don't know what to-" I said
"You don't have to, that's because I did my duty to protect you as a man and as a friend."
"As a friend?" I questioned him.
"Yeah." He said, and we both left for the academy.
At the end of the day, we started to go home together and he noticed my anger and frustration.
"What's the matter?" He asked.
"Nothing important just got into a argument today with a colleague badmouthing you." I said "I swear I couldn't stand it. I just interrupted and they kind of started talking worse about you, and I couldn't help myself. I just ignored them in the end but I can't get it out of my head." I said.
"I'm so happy that you tried to defend me, but also, I don't feel like there's a need. I know who I am, why I am the way I am, I know my Ninja Way. That's all. I don't worry about other people's opinions, that's because other people's opinions are based on their own perspectives and experiences which doesn't change anything about me." He told me.
We were walking together in the park after a while and I felt like it's been forever since I felt so safe again. We were standing near a tree, when a bunch of Genin kids fell over Shino-san due to a broken branch and he fell over me. I know it was an accident but he was on top of me, and for certain specific reasons I didn't mind him like that. I felt a embarrassed fluster in my cheeks. My eyes widened as I realized the truth. He had accidentally kissed me and when we both realized this, we just couldn't think of anything.
"I'm so sorry Shino Sensei! And..." Boruto said but neither of us could hear him at this point.
"Shino Sensei!" He yelled and we both just separated from each other and we yelled at Boruto, "Boruto! You should be more careful!" Shino-san said to him. "I'm sorry Shino Sensei. I'll have to take your leave now, but because of me, you atleast kissed your girlfriend! You should thank me!" He said waving at Shino-san.
"What a kid!" Shino-san sighed.
"Well, he's not completely wrong either." I teased him.
"Please, Hinoiri-san. Not you too" he joked back.
We both laughed a little.
"Must be nice to see your older students doing well" I remarked.
"It is. Most definitely. It is. I just want them to succeed. Boruto has a lot of energy but still needs to learn a lot more until he succeeds. Sarada wants to become the Hokage herself. I don't know about Mitsuki, I'm sure he will make a fine Jounin for the village. He already has a lot of skill in fighting and strategizing. Plus, his abilities also make him a great undercover agent. I'm proud that they were my students"
We went back to our regular schedule at the Academy, wound up our day and finally walked back home together. It was an unusually quiet walk because I had decided, today I am going to tell the truth today.
We reached home and Shino-san set his stuff down in an orderly manner.
"Um... Shino-san, I need to go somewhere. I'll be back in a little while. Till then you can complete the survey and interviews that we had completed." He nodded and I headed out for the Yamanaka flower shop. It was kinda weird because I stepped in to Sai-san and Ino-san doing their stuff but I still entered the shop, bought what I want and left.
I stopped by some general stored to do some more shopping. And then I headed back home. Shino-san wasn't back from the interviews yet. Great.
He was going to Hinata-san's house next. I rushed to her home before Shino-san could reach there and asked her for a favour. She happily agreed and I rushed back home to make preparations.
In the evening, Shino-san returned home just as I had planned. Hinata-san perfectly made an excuse for him to wear the red shirt and tuxedo. I wore my new red dress as well.
"Welcome, Shino-san. I am glad you could make it" I said at his dumbfounded face.
I closed the door behind him and handed him the bouquet.
"What's this?" He was so surprised, "The entire room is candle lit, there's roses everywhere, there's wine and cheese, we are wearing matching clothes, there are balloons everywhere."
"Shino-san," I sat him down on the couch, "I want to give you the only thing I have"I said as I took out my ukelele, sat down next to him and sang to him,

"Aburame Shino-san, would you be my boyfriend?" I asked him expectantly with my hand forward, looking to hold his.
"I will. Ofcourse I will!" He almost sounded like he was crying. "Now I see what this is all about." Suddenly his attitude change, his voice became more confident and he stood up next to me.
"May I have this dance?" He asked me after he played some slow music on his phone. "Sure." I replied as I took his hand.
This was a completely new Shino-san for me. I never knew he could dance like this. He pulled me in and grabbed my waist. We slowly swayed side to side in the beginning. He twirled me around and changed positions with me. He occasionally smiled a confident smirk and continued dancing with me. And just as the music stopped Shino-san picked me up and spinned me around as if I weighed nothing. He finally put me down, and just looked at me.
"You look beautiful" he said
"Thank you. You look very charming yourself" I blushed and complimented back.
"So, let's seal the agreement?" I asked him.
"We have to sign a legal agreement? Why is that?" He looked surprised.
"No, silly." I laughed. "Do you mind?"
"Mind what?" He asked.
"This" I said and asked him to close his eyes. I blindfolded him and asked for the last time, " You ready?"
"Yes. I put myself in your hands" he said.
I knew this is my moment, I led him to his bed, which had a new red satin bedsheet today. I made him sit. I sat next to him and gathered my courage. This is my moment. I'm going for it. I slowly hesitantly put hands on his jaws. I felt his sharp jawline with my fingers and bent forward and leaned in. I got close enough to feel his breath on my cheeks and I could feel his hands trying to figure out what's going on. I picked his hand and put it on my face. The way his touch felt, the way his hands glistened over my skin felt so good. Once he knew where I was, he put his other hand on my waist, sand I say on his lap facing him now. We both didn't know what we were doing, just that it felt incredibly good and right. I slowly crept up to his lips and slowly pressed mine against his. I tilted my head a little. My body tightened as he touched my skin because of the backless dress. My senses were all focused on him. I only saw, heard, smelled, tasted and felt him. We continued kissing for a while because we both enjoyed it a lot.
I know now, it is time for my next step.
