Her Smile

Chapter 3

It's been a few weeks since I began my first year at Ouran Academy. It's been very eventful so far, and at the moment, I sat in the music room.

"She can't be the daughter, Haruhi already is! Mommy!!! What do we do?" Tamaki shouted.

Kyouya simply ignored his comrade's fussing and typed away on his computer. I looked to see Honey bouncing. "Oooo, what if she was a puppy!"

I bit my lip and looked to the twins. They shook their heads and they said, "No, Haruhi is out dog. What about a kitten?"

I felt a hand on my head and I looked to my left to see Mori-senpai standing and looking at me. He began to pat my head and said, "Tiger."

His dark eyes stared into mine, and I blushed the longer I stared. The other's cheered at Mori's brilliance, while Tamaki was dancing. Everyone was to busy celebrating to notice the subtle gesture between Mori and I. Why wouldn't he look away?!

I blushed and turned my face away from his. Little did I know that Haruhi was standing on the other side of the room, smiling at the incident that no one else noticed.

It was some time after the guests had left when I felt two pairs of arms around my waist. "Oh Tora~" sang the twins. I gulped and began to pull away.

"No more outfits!!!!" I yelped.

"Oh, c'mon, Tora! You'll look so cute in them~" they said."

"Let go of my cousin!" Tamaki shouted. The twins steadily pulled me towards the doors of the changing room, when I reached my hands towards Mori.

"Mori-senpai, help!"

In one swift motion, I was thrown into the air, Mori's hands on either sode of my torso. Careful not to touch me in any unpleasant way, he turned so he caught me in a bridal fashion. One arm holding my dress tightly wrapped around my knees, and the other around my shoulder's. he set me down and I thanked him.

"Arigato, Mori-senpai."

He bowed, holding a hand over his chest, and kneeling down on one knee.

"You're welcome, Lady Suoh."

Honey began to gush over how strong Mori was, while Hikaoru and Kaoru stood surprised at what happened. Tamaki attacked Mori, thanking him for saving his "dear, sweet cousin" from the hands of "the shady twins."

Haruhi wrapped an arm around my shoulder as I blushed.

"I think I can sense something between you two, Tora-senpai." I blushed harder as I caught Mori's eyes. He looked at me sideways and I looked away. "Maybe." I mumbled.

Haruhi laughed quietly and asked, "What do you feel?"

I looked up and stared at Mori once again. I clutched where my heart was, my brain wracking. Maybe I could fall in love again? I smiled at the thought and finally replied to Haruhi's question.

"Pure bliss."

I sighed and walked down the hallway. I heard a girl confessing her love to someone.

"Mori-senpai, I really like you, and have for a while now, but, I just wanted to know if you would go on a date with me this Saturday?"

My eyes widened and I snuck a peek at Mori.

His stature stood incredibly tall, and he simply looked down at her. He had a monotonous voice that said, "I'm sorry, Kira, I cannot. Though your confession was very sweet, my eyes are set on someone else." His eyes lifted behind the girl and to mine.

"Who is she?" The girl asked.

Mori's eyes never left mine.

"Tora Suoh."
