SEASON FIVE EPISODE 12: CENTENNIAL CHARMED

Payson and Cole's twin boys Paxton and Parker

[Scene: Attic. Payson is crying over Cole's lifeless body. Leo holds Piper who has tears in her eyes. Paige stands behind Payson, her hands-on Payson's shoulders.]

Payson: No. No. God no, please. (She sobs into Cole's shoulder.)

Paige: Shh. Honey. I'm so sorry. (She rubs Payson's back.)

Payson: Death! (She looks up.) Death, I know you can hear me! You bring him back here right now! Bring him back!

(The Angel of Death appears. Payson gets up and goes over to him.)

Death: Hello Payson.

Payson: Fix him. (She points to Cole.)

Death: I can't.

Payson: Like hell you can't. You took my mother, my grandmother, and my sister from me. You will not take my husband too!

Death: No, you don't understand. I didn't take him.

Payson: What? What do you mean? I saw his spirit (she gets choked up) leave his body myself. (She sobs. Piper goes over and hugs her.)

Piper: What do you mean?

Death: I'm sorry, Payson, I truly am, but it wasn't I who took Cole Turner's soul.

Paige: If it wasn't you, then who was it?

Death: It was... (He's cut off by the appearance of an Avatar, Alpha.)

Alpha: I can answer that question.

Death: I'll be leaving now. (Death disappears.)

Leo: Who are you?

Alpha: You'll know one day, but not today. I'm here for Payson and what I have to say is for her alone.

Piper: (She wipes her eyes.) Right, like we're just gonna let you be alone with our sister.

Paige: Yeah!

Payson: Guys. I'll be okay. Just go.

Leo: Are you sure?

(Piper, Paige, and Leo look at Payson. She nods. They leave the attic. Piper stops and looks back at Payson for a moment before she leaves.)

Payson: You took my husband's soul? (She wipes her eyes and sits down, holding her stomach. She winces softly.)

Alpha: Indeed. Quite by accident. Although, it wasn't really me who took it.

Payson: I don't understand.

Alpha: Listen to me; there are planes of existence that co-exist with your own. There are so many, in fact, that it could be said that every choice an individual person makes, results in another plane of existence.

Payson: What does that have to do with Cole?

Alpha: It has to do with Cole because there is a Cole in another plane that has a cast a spell to re-write his plane's history. He used the same kinds of powers I possess to do so, and in doing so he plucked all the Coles that exist from their planes and into himself.

(Payson looks at him in shock.)

Alpha: I know this is a lot to take in. But if you want to save your Cole, you need to vanquish the sole Cole that now exists.

Payson: How do I do that?

Alpha: I can take you to this plane of existence.

Payson: Are you sure I'll get my Cole back if I do this?
