3rd Person P.O.V
The dawn of a new day peeked through the blinds, highlighting the peaceful face Tsukkishima. He stirred, feeling the warmth flood his face and neck. He blinked a few times, trying to rid himself of any leftover tiredness. The middle blocker yawned and turned to grab his glasses from the nightstand beside his bed. As he put the glasses on his face and sat up, he felt a weight shift and then fall back. He turned whilst blinking sleepily, and saw none other than Yamaguchi, still entranced by the warmth of sleep.
Tsukki did a bit of a double take, then sort of jumped out of the bed and away from him. He collected his thoughts as to what happened the previous night, the memories coming back into his foggy, sleep-ridden memory. He pinched the bridge of his nose, making his glasses shift upward slightly. Tsukki turned and silently opened the door and shut it behind him, trying his best not to wake up his sleeping beauty.
He walked down the steps and got some eggs to make tamagoyaki. He yawned sleepily and made the dish for both him and Yamaguchi. Once the food was done cooking, he placed it on two plates and put them on the table. The tall boy walked back into his room, gently shaking Tadashi's shoulder. The boy mumbled something, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Early to bed and late to rise, I see." Tsukki joked, looking into Yamaguchi's bright eyes, now wide as dinner plates. "Come on. I made breakfast."
"Sorry for oversleeping.. And great, I'm absolutely starving." Yamaguchi grinned, getting up and following Tsukki like a puppy. They sat down at the table across from eachother. "Wow, this looks awesome, Tsukki. I love tamagoyaki."
Tsukki totally didn't know that, and he stared at his plate with a knowing smile. They ate the food in peaceful silence. Once they were done, Yamaguchi took their plates and chopsticks and carried them over to the sink. "Let me wash these. It's the least I could do when you've been so kind to me."
"You don't have to do that, but okay. Do you still wanna go to Sakanoshita store and make a cake today?" Tsukki asked, stretching. Yamaguchi nodded with a smile. "Maybe we can check out the shopping center nearby and look around."
"I'm down. I should probably stop by my house on the way to get some clean clothes, though." Yamaguchi said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Alright. We can go soon if you want."
"Sure thing, gimme a second."
Yamaguchi quickly changed into his school uniform, ran down to his house, changed and threw his clothes in the laundry, then ran back in about 30 minutes. He knocked on Tsukki's door again, beads of sweat running down his forehead. Tsukki opened up the door and stepped outside next to the freckled boy.
"Long time no see, Tadashi." He said with a slight chuckle. Yamaguchi rolled his eyes and lightly punched him in the arm.
"Hurry up, Kei." The boy said with a sly grin. Tsukki turned away to hide his pink cheeks.
"Tch."
They walked off in the direction of the shopping center, chatting idly. They occasionally bumped shoulders or brushed their hands together, resulting in the two staying silent for a minute or two. They always brushed it off, though. It was as if nothing could disturb this beautiful morning. A strong wind shook the trees, as well as Yamaguchi. He rubbed his arms to try warming up the skin beneath his gray sweater. Tsukkishima looked over at him and dug for something in his pockets. He pulled out his phone and earbuds, giving Yamaguchi one of them. He put the earbud into his ear, confused.
A song started to play, and he smiled, listening to the rythmn and melody. What he didn't expect was Tsukki to sing along as they walked down the street.
