Yamaguchi's P.O.V
Dusk set in quickly as the two of us sat on the cold tile of Tsukki's kitchen. I rested my head on his shoulder, sighing heavily. When I was with him, even when we were both on opposite ends of the volleyball court, I felt calm. Like all of the pain I was carrying on my weak shoulders was lifted, if only for an instant. He was intoxicating. I couldn't get enough of him.
"Would you like to stay the night again? I'm sure my mother and Akiteru won't mind." He asked, tucking a strand of my loose hair behind my ear.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother." I said, burying my face in the crook of his neck. Tsukki laughed.
"Of course not! My family loves you. You were my first friend, and you brought me out of one of the darkest times of my life, and for that they're thankful. I am too, of course."
I beamed up at him. "Well, alright.. I need to run by my house and grab an extra pair of clothes and pajamas, though." I pondered, placing a finger on my chin in thought.
"I'll let you borrow my bike. Or would you prefer for me to walk with you?" He asked. I shrugged.
"I'll borrow your bike if that's alright-" I started, only to be cut off by a ringing coming from my phone on the counter. I gulped and stood up, feeling my hands shake with worry as I picked it up off the counter. I looked at the caller ID, hoping it wasn't my mom with more bad news.
Incoming Call:
Hinata =^.^=I let out a shaky breath and pressed the Answer Call button. "H-Heya, Hinata!!"
"Yamaguchiiii!!! We're having a volleyball club party at Tanaka's house. The girls' team is gonna be there also! You should come over. A few of us might stay the night, too." He said. I could practically hear him grinning over the phone.
"Er.. Well, can Tsukki come too? I'm hanging out with him right now."
"Sure thing. I'll send you the address. Bring some snacks if you- Oh, Kageyama's calling me. I'll see ya then."
I heard him hang up the phone and turned to look at Tsukki, who was raising an eyebrow and eating some strawberries. I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly.
"Sooo. Wanna go to a party or nah? I'm fine just staying at home honestly." I squeaked, looking at my feet.
"Sure." He said. I beamed up at him. "Do we need to bring anything?"
I nodded. "He said we could bring some snacks if we want." Tsukki nodded and grabbed a bag and loaded it up with Pocky, brownies and some chips. I smiled and took a look at the address that Hinata sent me.
"West Crow Ave. That's not too far away, right?" I asked.
"It's not too far, but it might take a while by foot. We can take my bike if you want." He responded. I nodded, the two of us going outside to Tsukki's bike in the garage. He put the bag of snacks in the basket in the front and climbed on. "Here, sit behind me and hold on, okay?"
"Yeah, got it..!" I mumbled. I sat behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. "Ready when you are."
I felt the bike move and the pedals click as they turned. We started to go at a fast pace through the dimly lit streets. Luckily nobody was out at this time. I gulped and pressed my forehead to Tsukki's back, anxiety seeping from my thoughts. After I managed to somewhat calm myself down, I picked my head up and looked around. We were riding alongside a cliff, the city's lights sparkling like stars in the night sky, or bubbles in an extra fizzy soda. It was breathtaking to say the least.
