Chapter 26: Prom

Arely's POV 

It's prom today. Okay breath. Breath girl! I sat in the chair in the salon as the lady curled my hair and the other did my nails. Okay I might be over doing this but whatever I want to look my best for Kevin. Prom starts at 9pm and right now it was 7pm. I was freaking out so much. even though I was done all I needed was to put on my dress and my heels. When I walk into the living room I see my friends there all dressed up and ready to go.

"Arely you're look so cute! Your hair omg you look so cute!" Ana ran up to me and pinched my cheeks.

I blush a bit embarrassed.

"Eli just texted me they are almost here." Valerie said standing up.

"Okay I'm ready!" Maria said as she fixed her dress.

"By the way who are you guys going with?" I asked them

All this time we had been preparing for prom I never asked them who they were going with but they knew who I was going with because well I wouldn't shut up about it.

"I'm going with this boy from the class next to ours his name is Jungkook. And well he asked me." Maria announced proudly 

Jungkook. He was a very adorable boy. The boy who almost every girl in the school wanted. He was indeed a very good looking boy. I understand why Maria is very proud that she has captured him. She explained how he asked her. She remembered word for word what he said. She had recited how he confessed his undying love for her.

"I'm going with Niall." Ana uttered looking at the floor shyly

Niall. If girls weren't paying attention to Jungkook their attention was on Niall. Not only did girl love his adorableness and his face but they were more in love with his accent. Plus his smooth words that sent girls in a 'love struck' mode. He had also asked Ana out. During that time he let it slip that he was in love with her.

"I'm going with Seunghyun." Valerie said finally putting her phone down

Seunghyun(Top) . He wasn't your average boy. He was so handsome and cool. His looks were cool and made him look mature but his personality was very childish and cute. Every girl could only dream to become his girl. When he asked Valerie to prom she only thought as friends, but when he kissed her he shook his head and said 'no more than just friends'. While girls dreamt of being his girl Valerie is living it.

We were all so into our stories about my friends love stories that when they asked me about my story it only saddened me. I explained to them that we are only going out as friends. But I still told the how he asked.

"The way he asked you sounds like he likes you." Ana said

"Yeah if you don't like the girl why would you hug her when she said yes. He obviously likes you." Valerie said in a serious tone

"True true." Maria agreed

"No not really he just doesn't want to go alone. He wants to go with a friend!" Although I said it and put a smile on my face it hurt

It hurt saying it. But it's the way things are. And I have to accept it. I force a smile on my lips and laugh it off. The door bells rings. Thank god I don't want to talk about this anymore. I stood up and opened the door. I freeze when I see Kevin standing there. He smiles at me.

"You look beautiful." I blush

"You look very handsome." I say as I hid my face behind my hands.

My hand was pulled away from my face and was held by Kevin. He smiles at me and put a bracelet on my wrist. I look at it and see it's a flower. I look up at him and see he's wearing the same flower on his suit

"Shall we go?" He offered me his arm

I nod and lock my arm with his and head towards the limo.

~~FAST FORWARD~~ 

We arrived at the hall around 10pm. And right away Maria and Jungkook ran towards the dance floor ready to bust out their moves. Ana was dragged towards the dance floor Niall wouldn't take any of her pleads and dragged her. Valerie had dragged Seunghyun to the dance floor while he whined saying he's not a good dancer. I couldn't help but laugh looking at my friends having fun.

"May I have this dance?" His question startled me

"I'm not a good dancer."

"As long as you have fun you're dancing fine." He gave me a reassuring smile

I nod, grab his hand and lead him towards the dance floor. It was a pop song so I was mostly dancing crazily. Kevin seemed to be doing the same. After several songs we sit down and rest.

"How about I get the next dance." A voice said

I turn to see Kent offering me his hand. I smile at him not sure what to say. I really don't want to leave Kevin's side.

"Sorry she already gave it to me." He answered for me

Kevin's POV 

I stood up and offered her my hand. Me or Kent. Who will she choose? Her friend or the guy she likes? She bit her lip and stood up. She smiled at Kent and took my hand. I let the breath I hadn't realized I was holding in out. I pulled her towards the dance floor and just as I'm about to start jumping around the dj decides to change genres. To a slow song. A ballad. So in other words a dance where the girl wraps her arm around the guys neck and his hands are placed on her hips. My heart skipped a beat. Will she dance this song with me? I take a deep breath. I open my mouth to ask her....
