Today father expressed a wish that I keep a journal of my time at Shiz University because that's what mother used to do. He thinks it is proper for the future governor of Munchkin land to keep a record of her schooldays. I don't mind this at all however, after all, I can't do much for fun. Well, I might as well start recording events now. Tomorrow I am going to Shiz University! I'm so eager to go! I can't wait! I must go ask Elfaba to help me pack. Oh, I must mention, Elfaba gets to go with me to Shiz! I'm so happy for her, and I am so excited that we get to go to school together! After all my sister is my best friend. We are almost never apart. I only wish that she didn't have to take care of me the whole time we're at Shiz. It's so unfair of Father to only let her go because she takes care of me! He hardly ever lets her go out in public except to help me. He is so mean to her! Sometimes I just can't stand it! Well here comes Elfaba! I must go and pack now.
