Levi's POV

At first, I didn't want to be here... it wasn't until I saw that girl walking down from my room. So then, I walked on down to the crowd and hearing the booming music. Erwin tried to stop me from going outside, lowing his voice a bit. "What are you doing? Thought you said you didn't want to come."

I growled softly, pushing him away. "I am a resident of this dorm, am I not? I am allowed to go, so why can't I?"

"One, you're not dressed right. Two, you're an introverted person among a party full of extroverts. I'm just preventing you fainting by so much people surrounding you. You understand it?"

My eyes began to roll as I made my way back to my dorm. "Fine, I'll dress in proper clothes. But you really can't stop me, can you? Of course you can't. You're too afraid of me to even interfere further. I won't bother you for the rest of the night- and I'm always willing to keep my promise."

As I was walking away, I heard Erwin whisper under his breath. "Such a creep..." Of course, it was true to others because of my family genetics. It's just that it only applies to my family and it has not yet activated. My mother once said that one day, it would activate... I just needed time.

I changed into a black suit and a white cravat. I sighed, feeling my heartbeat fading away. That girl, when I saw her, I remember feeling my heart pounding like crazy. Now that I think of it, I missed that feeling. I wanted to have a little taste of it. I wanted to taste it again. Claws were reaching out to me, and I felt this urge to go after her. That's why I wanted to go to the party. I needed to see her.

I walked down there, pushing myself through the crowd and winding myself at the food bar. Quickly, I took a cup of punch and stood in the corner. All this heat these people were generating were a nuisance. I hated it so much. The darkness held so much cold, I rather linger there. And soon enough... she appeared.

How elegant she looked like in that dress of hers. The music began to drown out as my heartbeat was overpowering everything. If my world was in gray, black, and white, she was the only one with color. I just stared at her as she quickly grabbed a cookie with a white napkin. Oh... her caramel hair just flowed down, how beautiful it was. I see a red ribbon in her hair- pinned above her glasses. I needed to see her eyes...

So I slowly moved forward towards her when her eyes laid on me. I see them... caramel colored ones. If I stared more into them, I think I would see them twinkling. Did my appearance scared her? A few steps forward, and she was stepping back in fear.

"I-It's okay..." I stuttered softly as I tried to speak. That's when she didn't lean away from me. "I'm not gonna h-hurt you..."

Her fingers ran through her caramel colored hair, though it only flopped back down. They did sparkle, her eyes... "S-Sorry..." She chuckles softly with her caramel eyes darting from one place to another. Why were they avoiding me? "Nervous. Really... it's my first time I was invited to a party like this... you? Why were you invited? Out of curiosity, of course."

She chuckles nervously, but why did her little chuckles lift my heart above the clouds. Her appearance made heart pound. Almost satisfying to see. "I live here. And I wanted to see the commotion here..." As much as I wanted to see her face, I had to look away. I just didn't... like the thought of just staring at her. Why did I worry about this now...?

"Aw... that's kinda cute..."

"W-Want to leave this area...?" I whispered once more. "It's a bit crowded..."

"A party's a party." She says with one of the cutest smile. "Sure, why not. Just as long as nothing bad happens." Did she... wink at me? "What's your name?"

I looked away, sighing softly. She asked for my name, so I responded with it. "Levi... yours?"

"I'm Hanji."

Hanji... "That's a beautiful name you got..." I didn't react to it until I thought about it all over. Did... did I really say that out-loud? I looked away, feeling my cheeks all warm as I grew embarrassed about it all. "S-Sorry..."

Hanji chuckles more, "It's alright, Levi. We can get away from the crowd, as long as I still have access to the snack bar." She quickly grabs another cookie and we slowly walked away from the people.

My breath grew raggedly, following her out of the crowd. We ended up on the front lawn. There was a few people scattered on the lawn- probably drinking some alcohol. But Hanji and I found a spot under a tree and sat there. We were staying there, just looking out. Second by second, I gazed at her beauty- and slowly leaned myself close to her.

She suddenly notices it, jumping a bit. "S-Sorry..." I whisper, looking away.

"I-It's alright- no worries!" She quickly says, eating a cookie. She smiles so softly, chuckling a bit. "I'm just jumpy... sorry about that."

That's when I felt a smile grow on my face. How it grew and grew. Like a toddler learning how to walk... that's how prideful I was. What was I doing then? My hand reached up to her chin, and I grabbed it a bit sternly. She yelps a bit, but her eyes told me she wasn't in pain. Just surprised. Quietly, she utters my name softly, but I continued to move forward.

"Just this once." She says with a wink, leaning forward as well.

We kissed each other- and I tasted her strawberry lips. How sweet they were. I didn't want to violate her little request, so I pulled away after that one kiss. Once I kissed her, it was like she tied me up in a rope- or even a spell. I wanted to lean forward, to take more of her kisses. But I resisted. How she made me feel... I couldn't explain it one bit.

That's when she leaned in again, kissing me with a little bit more force. "I-I thought you said just one..." I whisper, continuing to kiss her. She didn't push me away, or call me a freak. She didn't know exactly who or what I was. I kissed her... and she was belonging to me.

Hanji giggles softly, kissing me one last time before speaking. "If I enjoy it, I may ask for more."

Soon enough, there was these 2 girls, and I growled at them as they stared. I guess the girl with the boy cut hair giggled softly at us. The reddish hair girl stared at me, stifling a little chuckle. "Sorry to bother you, Hanji, but little Nanaba here got a bit tipsy. We're heading back. Come on, Hanji."

Hanji sighed softly, pecking a kiss on my cheek. "It was fun being with you." She says softly, quickly going through her little purse. In an instant, she pulled out a Post-It note and a pen, scribbling something down. "Here, if you want to contact me again, Levi."

Those were her last words to me that night. She scrabbles for her belongings before joining those girls. I laid there, under the tree, just staring at Hanji in that dress. She was truly a beauty. With every step she took, my heart was breaking apart by tiny pieces. I thought that I could never see her again. This little light of mine was gone.

Was it because we moved too fast...? Was it because I was an idiot for stumbling my words? Gah, I just know I wanted to see her again. I looked down to the Post-It note, seeing a few digits on there. Her phone number. It was that. Perhaps... perhaps I'm not a creep looking for a good time. Perhaps I'm the Ackerman who activated this little disease in us. Perhaps... I needed Hanji in my life... forever.
