Southern Cyberpunk AU

Very similar to the southern au but with technology

Obv this'll be a human au, the Diamonds are the state's tyrants/dictators and they're very much like the Diamonds in the show. Very high-tech geezers. White's the highest, Yellow comes next with the military and Blue's with the media and handles censorship. Pink was supposed to be like the scapegoat of the Diamonds and to make them look like healthy leaders when they're not.

Thats the whole reason why Pink left the capital, cause what the heck that's not gOod obviously. But since she hasn't had too many good role models growing up she's also been harsh to her friends, like accidentally firing off a weapon next to Peeps and leaving a scar, and also abandoning Spinel in a wasteland. they were also pretty young kids, about 9-10 years.

oh yeah, so the diamonds would have been teenagers-early 20s when they took up rule over the state. pink might have been just born, and is yellow's daughter.

But when she met Greg (a lower class guy who's hella good at guitar) and brought some of her capital friends with her to start a new life in a remote wasteland within the state, she began to learn what it  really meant to love, some cheesy ass su stuff. They were able to cultivate their own land, domesticate a few livestock, and live off of mostly organic food. dont ask how but they probably stole a few animal young and raised them.

there are a few times where pink, whochanged her name to rose, stood up a bunch of state patrollers and convinced them to join their movement to try to overturn the government. she builds a sizeable army, although she still gets defeated to Yellow's military, who arrests everyone except Rose, Pearl, and Garnet, who manage to escape. the "traitors" were sentenced to life in prison until steven eventually frees them

Bismuth was sent out to scavenge for more supplies, a few days before Yellow's army fucked them

Then Steven would be born, raised in the built up "country side", away from the dystopian state. and pink dies

Once Steven grows up to be a teenager, the Gems start telling him of what happened, and the kind of world they live in. steven started developing anxiety.

once he visits the capital he finds connie, who decides to run away with him cause the capital is terrifying. pearl teaches her how to fight and defend herself.

Bismuth returns, and when steven and pearl tell everyone how rose was actually one of the dictators this whole time, they fall apart cause they feel played with, and that the rebellion was pointless. just a game

eventually they come to terms, steven gets arrested a few times, put on trial, escapes, finds spinel and convinces her to join them, etc. yelp, bloop, and peeps work for the Diamonds but once the conflicts settle between the crystal gems and the capital a lot more people move out to cultivate the wasteland, and the state becomes a lot less dystopian

*mumbo voice* yeh

so now everything's okay, it's no longer a dystopian state and everyone is free again, the land cultivation movement has begun (Era 3) and as a result there's a bunch of folks moving west with their high tech equipment in an attempt to rejuvenate the barren landscape.

also everyone wears some kickass futuristic technology
