Season 3 Episode 14: Dangerous Liaisons

Lilith critically inspected her blood red nails as someone finished painting her toes. The brunette was on the couch in the living room and was sitting next to Rebekah, who was also getting her nails done. Kol, the youngest Mikaelson brother, was standing in front of a mirror as a tailor fixed his suit. Finn, the oldest, and Elijah were also in the room preparing for the ball.

Esther, after talking with the siblings, wanted to throw a ball to show that the Mikaelson family was reunited. Lilith thought it was weird but she wouldn't turn down an excuse to get all dressed up. Lilith realized that she and Esther seemed to be tiptoeing around each other, always seeing the other but never talking. The Original Witch seemed to always watch Lilith with a analyzing stare and Lilith didn't like it. The brunette kept her thoughts her herself, not wanting anyone, not even Klaus, to know.

"Rebekah? Lilith? Tell me how handsome I am." Kol said with smile as he looked in the mirror. Lilith and Rebekah shared a look before the blond spoke.

"Ah Kol, you know we can't be compelled." Rebekah said as she went back to her nails. Lilith chuckled and watched as Finn grinned. The brunette looked away when the door opened and Klaus walked in. He went straight to Rebekah.

"You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?!" Klaus basically shouted at Rebekah and the female Original rolled her eyes.

"Here we go." Rebekah groaned.

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus threatens but no one took him seriously.

"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol said and Klaus turned to him with a glare.

"Oh, go back to staring at yourself." Klaus said with a smile and Kol huffed a breath. Lilith smirked.

"And who are you, my father?" Kol said back, not even caring about Klaus' uncontrollable temper.

"No, Kol, but you're in my house." Klaus three back and Lilith felt the tension between them grow.

"Then perhaps we should go outside." Kol challenged. Klaus and Kol continued to stare at each other until Esther walks in.

"Enough! Niklaus. Come." Esther orders and Klaus obediently followed after her. Lilith watched them go with a shake of her head.

"Well, that was fun." Lilith dryly commented getting a chuckle out of everyone. Lilith, after a few moments stood up, and walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Elijah asked and Lilith turned.

"I'm going to pick up my dress, I'll be back soon." Lilith said over her shoulder as she walked out. She could hear Klaus and Esther talking and she resisted the urge to listen in. Lilith just shook her head and headed towards the front door.

A few hours later the ball was in full swing. Guests were still arriving to the mansion but other than that everyone was already mingling and sipping champagne. Klaus was standing near the stairs, waiting for Lilith when he smelled it. Klaus smelt the familiar fragrance of Lilith's perfume and he lifted his head in the direction of the intoxicating scent. Klaus' blue eyes widened at Lilith's appearance, the brunette having kept her look a secret.
