28. You're Alive.

Season 4 Episode 1: Growing Pains

Lilith was in Klaus' art studio, looking at all the paintings of her, when she heard a crash. Lilith quickly left the room and walked into the room where she heard the crash. She saw Rebekah and the dreaded older Salvatore. Lilith felt anger rise into her busy, he was or of the reasons Klaus was dead. He needed to pay.

"You should know better than to sneak up on a lady." Rebekah said, voice hoarse still from crying. Lilith decided to wait, hidden grim view, until Damon was alone.

"Good advice. Have you seen one?" Damon smirked and Rebekah turned to face him.

"Tragic about Elena. Not to make a grey cloud greyer, but does Matt even have automobile insurance?" Rebekah turns back around. Damon rushed at her with the indestructible white oak stake but grabs his wrist and prevents him from killing her. Rebekah pushed him against a dresser and Damon drops the stake.

Suddenly, without warning, someone starts firing wooden bullets through the window. Damon manages to escape but Rebekah is shot in the heart with an arrow and temporarily dies. Lilith snarled and looked between Rebekah body and where Damon escaped from. Lilith shook her head.

"Damn it!" Lilith yelled as she ran to Rebekah. As the brunette grabbed the original white hot pain shot through her body, an inch from her heart. Lilith fell to the ground and immediately blacked out from the pain. She may be immortal but pain was still a bitch.

Lilith groaned and work up inside a large van. Rebekah was next to her, Caroline across form her. Lilith smelled the vervain as Rebekah struggled to break them. Lilith smirked, her hands were bound in vervain, and vervain had no effect on her. Lilith began to sneakily undo her bonds.

"Vervain ropes. Looks like Alaric outed us all to the Council." Caroline said and Lilith raised her head.

"The Council? What exactly do they think they can do to me?" Rebekah asked and tilted her head.

"I would like to know why I'm here, I'm not a vampire." Lilith said as the van suddenly screeched to a halt. Something hit the van and it flipped over, sending the three inside flying. Lilith slammed against the floor and shouted in pain as something pierced the side of her heart. Lilith froze quickly, if whatever was inside her hit her heart, she'd die. Not fully, but she'd be completely out of action until she healed.

"What the hell happened?" Rebekah asked with a groan. The back door was suddenly ripped open and the girls saw Tyler standing there.

"Tyler?" Caroline questioned with a smile.

"I'm not Tyler." Tyler said as he rushed into the van and grabbed Lilith. Tyler pulled Lilith out of the van and sped off into the distance. Rebekah and Caroline shared and glance before "Tyler's" words sunk in.

"Klaus." Rebekah gasped out as she tried to stand up. Rebekah gave up and collapsed back to the floor.

Tyler ran to the mansion and out Lilith down. The brunette immediately backed away from him, fangs out. Tyler held up his hands and stepped closer to Lilith. The brunette snarled.

"Who the fuck are you?" Lilith growled out, breath heavy as pain wracked her body. The brunette knew she would need to remove whatever was inside her but right now she wanted to know who was in front of her.

"Relax, love, it's me." Lilith froze and her fangs disappeared. Lilith gasped and felt tears well up in her eyes, only one person was brave enough to call her love, and that person was supposedly dead.

"Klaus." Lilith said quietly as she continued to stare at Tyler's body. "Is it really you?" Lilith asked, wanting to believe and deny it.

"It's me, Lilith, I won't be killed that easily." Klaus felt pain strike his heart as he looked at Lilith. The hybrid could vividly remember her screams as his body burned and he hated those sounds.

"Prove it." Lilith said with a barley there smile.

"You're my beautiful nightmare." Klaus smiled, knowing that only he knew about his nickname for Lilith. Lilith laughed, tears falling from her eyes, as Klaus walked over and pulled her into a hug.

"You're alive." Lilith said as she put her head head against Klaus' chest.

"Of course I am." Lilith laughed, heavily at Klaus words, before wincing in pain. Klaus noticed and let go of the brunette. "What is it?" Klaus asked, concerned.

"There's a piece of shrapnel next to my heart, I need it out." Lilith said and Klaus grabbed her hand, heading her towards their bathroom. Lilith sat on the sink, Klaus between her legs, as he looked up at her. "Just get it out." Lilith said as she leaned her head against the mirror.

Klaus nodded and used a nail to cut open Lilith's chest. Klaus reaches into her body trying to find the shrapnel as the brunette screamed in pain. Klaus found the shrapnel and pulled it out. He threw it to the floor as Lilith sagged against him, the pain making her fall into unconsciousness.

Klaus picked her up and took her to the bedroom. Klaus gently laid her on the bed and with a kiss to her forehead, left the mansion. Klaus wanted back in his body as soon as possible.

A few hours Lilith awoke to find herself alone. Lilith saw a blood bag on the bedside table and she quick began to drink. The bag was finished and Lilith grinned, she felt so much better. Lilith stood from the bed and left the room. She searched the mansion before entering a room where she saw Klaus. Actual Klaus and not Klaus in Tyler's body.

Klaus turned and grinned as Lilith ran at him. The brunette jumped into his arms, legs around his waist, as she pressed her lips to his. Klaus immediately returned her kiss and pushed the brunette against the wall. Klaus broke the kiss and grinned at his wife.

Lilith smirked and pulled Klaus back into a kiss. The hybrid groaned as Lilith began to press open mouthed kisses to his neck. The two broke apart when the front door slammed open. Rebekah stormed into the room as the couple stepped away from the wall.

"I mourned you! My heart broke thinking I'd never see you again!" Rebekah yelled as she walked up to Klaus. Three bags of blood were in her hands, Elena's blood.

"Put the blood down, Rebekah." Klaus said as he too noticed the blood bags.

"It's always been me! Not Finn, not Elijah, not Kol, me! I loved you through everything and you don't even care!" Lilith felt bad for Rebekah because despite being a thousand years old she was still just a teenager who only wanted her older brothers love.

"Drop it!" Klaus yelled. Rebekah said nothing she just squeezed the blood bags, making them burst, leaving no more blood for Klaus to make hybrids. Rebekah glared before she sped away from the mansion. Lilith shook her head and stepped next to Klaus, grabbing his hand.

"Relax." Lilith ordered gently. "Lets go hunt and then you can take your anger out on me." Lilith said with a sultry smirk, knowing Klaus could never turn her down when she said something like that. Klaus smirked and the two disappeared from the mansion, heading off into the night, hunting for their prey.
