Meeting Mark & Judy

"Good morning babe." He mumbled, rubbing my hair back.

"Mm hi." I moaned, cuddling his waist.

"I've gotta get ready for work."

"No."

"Come on, I'll make you some breakfast." He mumbled, kissing my forehead.

"No it's okay, I was gonna say let's go out for lunch today? Think you can get half an hour free?"

"For you? I think the boss will be okay with that."

"What a good guy your boss is, I'll find a nice little place for lunch & text you?"

He nodded & kissed me, then left for work.

What to do today?
I could go for a shop & find some cute new outfits.
I could go visit the girls.
Maybe I should stay in & watch movies all day.

For now, I'm getting a damn coffee in my system.

I walked downstairs & explored his house.

He designed & renovated the whole house himself. Who was this guy?

I sat on the back porch & had my coffee with my robe on.

"Yoohoo!" I heard someone call out & I looked around.

"Over here darling!" They yelled & I followed the voice.

"Oh hi!" I said, finally seeing Matt's neighbours, the old people.

I walked with my coffee to the fence & they waved.

"I'm Mark & this is my wife Judy, how are you sweetheart?"

"I'm really good thank you, its lovely to meet you both. I'm Kalyn's friend Bailee. Wow look at your garden, it's beautiful. Looks like some serious work goes on over here." I said & they laughed.

"Kalyn actually helps me to do it. My husband hasn't got the best back, so he comes over when he can to help."

"Isn't he a sweetheart." I laughed & she nodded.

"He's a lovely boy. Isn't this home gorgeous too?" She said, nodding to his home.

- At lunch -

"Hi baby." He said, kissing me then sitting down at the table.

"How's work?"

"Hot." He groaned, wiping the sweat off his face.

"Hi Kalyn." The girl serving us said & he looked up at her.

"Hey Kassie, how ya been?"

"Pretty good." She said & stood there smiling at him.

I looked at him & grinned, seems like she's got a crush.

"Could I get a smoothie off you please?" I asked her & she nodded.

"Sure, sorry I zoned out."

"That's okay." I laughed, ordering my stuff.

Once he ordered she left & I ran my fingers through my hair.

"So I met your neighbours Mark & Judy."

"Nice people hey."

"Couldn't speak more highly of you."

"They love me, she always tells me he's her husband & I'm her younger boyfriend." He laughed & I smiled.

"She said you help her do her garden."

"I just carry the heavy stuff for her."

"That's cute."

He rolled his eyes & I smiled.

"You're the biggest sweetheart." I laughed & he took a sip of his coffee.

"You might have to watch Judy actually, she might try fight you for me."

"All good, Mark was pretty easy on the eye." I whispered, winking at him & he grinned.

"He'd love talking to you."

"Have my coffee chatting with them every morning."

He smiled & our food was brought out.

"Holy. This looks amazing."

"What'd you get?"

"Pork & Roast Pumpkin salad."

"Sounds good."

"So I was thinking, I'll cook dinner tonight?"

"Can you cook though or am I gonna have to buy a pizza to bring home for backup?"

He laughed & I grinned, glaring at him.

"You'll just have to wait to see."

"Oh god." He sighed, eating the rest of our lunch with small talk.
