"The sex has been so good." I sighed, watching Stef grin.

"Well let's cheers to that & this beautiful ring on your finger."

I smiled and put my wine to hers, holding Lottie in my other arm.

"You're so in love." She laughed & I smiled.

"I'm so in love."

"God I wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time on my douchebag of a husband."

I laughed and she drank her wine.

"You're living your best life now though, I can tell."

"Oh god yeah, that guy was a knob." She laughed & I grinned.

I looked up & my eyes widened.

"Holy shit." I mumbled, staring at him.

"Babe, you okay?" Stef asked me, looking over to where I was.

"You know him?"

"Um... kind of."

"Kind of?"

"Thats my ex."

"Oh, he's just an ex." She laughed, fake wiping sweat off her forehead.

"Mm, ex fiancé & ex baby daddy."

"What!"

"We were engaged and I fell pregnant but lost the baby, we split up after that."

"Oh honey."

"No it's fine, but I really don't want him to see me because I haven't exactly told Kalyn."

"I see." She whispered, and right at that second, his eyes went as wide as mine.

"B?"

"Fuck." I mumbled, smiling at him and standing up.

"Hugh! Oh my goodness, it's been ages!"

"I can't believe you're here! How have you been?"

"Really good thanks, you? How's your business going?"

"Yeah really good actually, takes most of my time now but you know, what can ya do."

"I know." I laughed & Stef coughed.

"Oh sorry, this is my friend Stef."

"Nice to meet you Stef."

"Yeah you too Hugh. This is Lottie." She laughed, nudging to my sleeping baby in her arms.

"Oh congratulations, god she's gorgeous."

Stef smiled and looked up at me.

Probably better he thinks that's Stef's babe.

I didn't say anything & Stef raised an eyebrow at me.

"Well I'm actually going on a date just up the street but I'd love to catch up one day."

"Oh of course, I'll see when I can get time."

"See you both around." He said, winking & walking off.

"I love the thought of having a baby that I didn't have to push out."

"I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to say."

"It's totally fine babe, but what are you gonna tell Kalyn?"

"He doesn't need to know, does he?" I mumbled, already knowing the answer to my question.

"You've gotta tell him."

"I know, I know. He's gonna kill me."

"Yeah probably won't like the part where you agreed to meet with your ex fiancé."
