"It's nothing to worry about Natalie. Ruth's blood pressure levels have dropped a bit which might have caused her to faint. I have prescribed some pills. Make sure she has them at breakfast and dinner both. I will be coming back next week to follow up on her." Dr.Bradley smiled at Natalie reasurringly. He then turned to Ruth, "And you there should stop skipping meals. It is not good for yor health Ruth specially at this age. Thanks to this man here," he motioned towards Derek who stood besides Ruth's bed where she lay, "If it wasn't for him you could have fallen and injured yourself. Or worse yet you could have been fainted while you were still driving. Your niece is pretty shaken up from the incident."
Dr.Bradley was the family physician. He and his wife had a clinic quite near to Stonehedge. They were a lovely couple. Sometimes they treated people for free if the patients couldn't afford the treatment. Natalie had been going to them since she a child. They were generous people who really cared about curing people of their illnesses. Mrs.Bradley had been the mid-wife in majority of the childbirths where the family decided to have the delivery at home.
"Yes doctor. I will keep that in mind and it won't happen again." Ruth looked at Natalie and said, "I'm sorry dear for giving you such a scare." Then she looked at Derek and smiled weakly "You have actually become my knight in armour Derek. Thanks for taking care of me. I owe you once again."
"Anytime Ruth. You take some rest now." Derek smiled back at her.
"Seems like you are in good hands Ruth. I better get going then. Also Natalie make sure Ruth is not put through any kind of stress right now." and Dr.Bradley stood up.
"Let me drop you till the door Doctor" Derek said and the two men walked out of the room. Natalie came to sit at Ruth's bedside. When Ruth had fainted,Natalie was in a state of panic. She didn't know what to do. If the Morgan guy had not been there she was sure she would have gone into shock. He had carried Ruth inside and then asked her to stay with Ruth while he went to fetch a doctor. The wait had been horrible. All kinds of dreadful thoughts flashed though her mind. If only she had driven Ruth to the church. It was all her fault. She couldn't even take care of her own aunt. She felt so ashamed of herself.
"It wasn't your fault dear." she heard Ruth say, "Stop blaming yourself."
"How did you know I was thinking that?" Natalie asked surprised. Ruth could always read her like a book. Natalie could never understand how her aunt did that.
"Well, its wriiten all over your face. I can see your guilt." her aunt replied back. "Listen to me Natalie, not everything wrong that happens is your fault sweetheart. I know you feel responsible for me but you can't control everything that happens to me right?". Natalie nodded bleakly.
