Eyes of a Target

Chapter 14

Taehyung lays down on his bed, hair damp from his current shower. His blonde hair curled slightly from the wetness, turning a slightly darker color.

He pulled one of his strands in front of his face, he remembered when he was younger that he wanted to dye his hair a different color. Taehyung was fond of the ash brown color his mother had.

Maybe he could ask Seokjin to dye his hair that color, he also wants to figure out how old he is. See if there are any reports on the attack on his parents, or maybe Seokjin knows how to find out.

Right when Taehyung was getting ready to sit up he heard a knock on his door. Lately Seokjin wouldn't just knock, or send someone else. Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"Come in?" Taehyung answered in a soft voice.

He saw the door knob turn and to his surprise he saw Jeongguk walk into the room. He was holding something in his hand, A gaming console?

Taehyung's orbs followed Jeongguk's movements, he was setting up something to the tv. Taehyung has heard of video games before, but never knew what they looked like.

He continued to watch Jeongguk set up the gaming console out of curiosity and interest. The raven felt the small boy's eyes following his movements, this made his lips twitch up a little bit. But then shook his head slightly and went back to focusing on setting everything up.

Jeongguk had no idea why he was doing this, normally he would only play games out of wanted to relieve some stress or he is just done with all of his work for the day.

No one is home at the moment, but for some reason his mind went straight to Taehyung. For a reason that Jeongguk has no answer to. All he knew was that he wanted to play some games with the small vampire.

The raven was done setting everything and turned on the tv, he turned around and handed the remote to Taehyung. Making him flinch slightly, pulling him back into reality.

Taehyung was so zoned out while watching Jeongguk he didn't even know that the raven was handing him something.

"Hey"

Taehyung shot up his head to see Jeongguk looking at him. His eyes were a piercing doe shaped eyes, that held a soft shape but the color was a dark firm color. His raven hair was parted in the middle and one side was swept to the side of his face, curling upwards slightly.

"Do you know how to play this game?" Jeongguk asked while raising one of his eyebrows slightly. Taehyung gulped a little bit and shook his head, noticing that he was staring at Jeongguk a little bit too much.

Jeongguk let out a sigh and proceeded to teach Taehyung how to play the game he selected. All Taehyung could do was nod and try his best to play the game.

Both boys have been playing the same racing game for about two hours. Jeongguk kept beating Taehyung, resulting in him turning into a whining fit almost every time he lost.

While Jeongguk had a large smile on his face, from both pride of winning and seeing how much of a child Taehyung is acting. The two of them were just extremely happy playing that game.

They played for so long that Taehyung started to get the hang of it, he even beat Jeongguk a few times. Even though they were the easier levels, it still made him happy.

Everytime Taehyung won, he had a huge boxy smile on his face. Jeongguk would just stare at him with admiration and thought that the small vampire next to him had the most beautiful smile in the world. Jeongguk wasn't even fully aware of his actions today, he was too caught up in the moment to where he completely opened himself up to Taehyung.

The level that they were recently on was a little bit harder, but Taehyung was managing his character a little bit better this time. That was until Taehyung heard a 'ding' coming from his phone, causing him to lose his concentration and crash into something.

"One sec," Jeongguk said while pausing the game.

The whole entire time they were playing the game they never said anything to each other, just a few laughs every now and then.

"Seokjin has take out for dinner, let's go before the food gets cold," Jeongguk said while putting his controller to the side. He then got up and went to the doorway and turned around to see that Taehyung wasn't following him. Just looking at the controller instead.

"You coming?" Jeongguk asked in a slightly annoying tone, but his eyes were still soft.

Taehyung jumped slightly and nodded, getting off of the bed as fast as he could. Both of them walked down the hallway and saw Seokjin, but Namjoon wasn't there this time.

The small boy pouted slightly, he wanted to get to know the wolf a little bit better and not be a shy mess. He guesses that it'll have to wait for another time.

Seokjin looked up and saw, surprisingly both Jeongguk and Taehyung walk in. He was about to get Taehyung for dinner but he guesses that Jeongguk already beat him to it. Which is weird, the raven is normally not the person to do something like that.

But Jeongguk quickly sent him a short glare, telling Seokjin to not question what he was doing. The brunette nodded slightly and got out the take out food for both of the boys, including himself.

They all sat together in a small table behind the living room couch. It was a comfortable silence that they were sitting in.

"H-Hey hyung? Do you think we could try to find out how old I am? I didn't keep track of how long I was in the prison that well ...." Taehyung asked, almost whispering the last sentence while fiddling with his fingers. Picking out some dirt that was underneath his nails.

"Sure Taehyung, I think I can figure something out," Seokjin answered with a large smile.

Taehyung's eyes brightened slightly by the answer and nodded, continuing to eat his food.

Meanwhile Jeongguk just sat on the other side of the table, overthinking what took over him today. And why he was having so much fun playing with Taehyung, almost the whole entire time he was never able to take his eyes off of the blonde next to him.

Holding the brightest smile the whole time.
