Chapter 27

**Warning! Some violence**

"What do you mean we are under an attack?!"

Taehyung's eyes widened from hearing that. We are under an attack, from who?! He tried his best to calm himself down. Maybe they were far away.

"J-Jeongguk?"

Jeongguk turned around and gave Taehyung a soft look, trying to reassure him while taking in information from his hyung.

The raven walked over to the panicking blonde, rubbing his upper arm while listening to the other on the line. It seemed like there wasn't any commotion going on nearby. So hopefully they can leave without leading the enemy to their base.

"There was unknown trucks going by the security cameras on the outside of our territory entering our area. But the video was from two hours ago, hopefully they didn't find the base. It's best to try and run as quickly as you can, they could be-"

Jeongguk's eyes widened from hearing the other line cut.

"Yoongi?! YOONGI!!"

Taehyung looked at him, seeing panic in his eyes.

"W-What's wrong, G-Guk?"

"Ah shit, ok let's not panic-"

"P-Panic?! W-Why a-are they near? O-Oh no, w-what-"

Jeongguk was quick to calm the boy down, pulling him into a hug and giving sweet words.

"It's ok Taehyung, we just need to get to the nearest car and leave. Let me go and grab some equipment from my office and we can head out ok?" He asked the shivering blonde in a soft tone.

Taehyung nodded and pushed himself further into the couch, still scared about the situation. He could ask Vante to take over but he didn't want to put that onto Jeongguk.

He probably didn't want to deal with a stubborn, angry half blood under a stressful situation. Taehyung chuckled slightly by imagining how Vante would argue with Jeongguk or point out if he did something wrong.

Although, Taehyung's small smile fell from his face when he heard gunshots coming from Jeongguk's office.

Taehyung shot up in panic when he saw Jeongguk running down the hallway. Putting some guns into his holster, while grabbing a bag of food as well.

Before Taehyung could ask anything the raven grabbed his hand and ran outside to the closest car.

"GO GO GO!" Jeongguk yelled while throwing supplies into the back seat. Taehyung was about to get into the passenger seat when he sensed someone coming near him.

It wasn't too long when Vante took over and turned to see a hunter with a rifle. He was quick to run over and disarm him. Once he grabbed a hold of it he was quick to turn it around and bash the man's face with it, killing him in the process.

He turned around to see Jeongguk look at him shocked, causing Vante to smirk a little bit. But he quickly gave control back to Taehyung.

The boy saw the hunter dead but didn't want to question, he just wanted to get away from the hunters. Possibly any vampires along the way, hopefully not.

Taehyung hopped into the car and Jeongguk was quick to speed off, away from the base.

But they weren't the only one on the road, behind them was a car with some armed individuals. Taehyung took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. That was until.....

BANG!

A bullet was shot through the car windshield, it was aimed at Taehyung.

"GIVE US THE HALF BLOOD!"

Jeongguk ignored the holler from the hunters and stepped on the gas, speeding up even more.

Thanks to a few twists and turns in the forest, Jeongguk was able to lose the car. Taehyung was still shaking, he didn't feel safe at all.

Even with Jeongguk holding his hand, he couldn't stop his body from shaking. His vampire senses telling him that it isn't over and to not drop his guard. And he was thankful for that.

More gunshots echoed throughout the forest, a truck coming into view in the distance. But they weren't full of only hunters, there were some vampires in there as well. Guess that they all want in on the money if they can catch Taehyung.

Taehyung was quick to drop in his seat, making sure that they didn't see them. But they were smarter than that.

Another gunshot was heard but it actually hit something.........One of Jeongguk's tires.

Jeongguk tried to control the car but it kept spinning out, until it ran into a tree. Luckily none of them got hurt.

Both of them got out and started running, but obviously it wouldn't work for long.

They were running together when Taehyung let out a scream and fell down to the ground. Jeongguk turned around to see that Taehyung had a knife in his right shoulder.

"Taehyung!" He bent down to help the other but he felt a bullet hit his side.

"Jeongguk no! Ah" Taehyung yelled out in distress when the pain in his shoulder increased.

He tried to get up and get to Jeongguk who was holding his side but he felt a hand push him down.

The person behind Taehyung was quick to knock him out with the back of his gun.

"TAEHYUNG!" Jeongguk screamed in anger but was welcomed with the same darkness right after.

Leaving both boys in the hands of the hunters and vampires.

A/N: Finally I had the motivation to write, I deeply apologize for leaving you guys without chapters for almost two months. As well as giving you a short chapter, hopefully this isn't too boring! The next one with definitely be longer. Thank you all for your support!
