The group made their way back to the base, not forgetting to text Yoongi and the other's that they found Taehyung. Seokjin was in the passenger seat, worrying that Vante didn't return to the base.He could just hope that he did.
No words were spoken between them, especially with Jeongguk. He was completely silent, looking out the window with sad eyes.
Jeongguk deeply regrets taking his anger out on Taehyung. Today is one of his least favorite days of the year. Something happened in his past that makes him angry to this day. But no one knows about it, not yet.
They pulled up and walked into the living room, it was currently 10:30 pm. Namjoon and Seokjin decided to stay in a guest room for the night.
While Jeongguk went to his bedroom that was a few doors down from his office.
He was determined to make it up to Taehyung, he just needed to give the other time to relax. He didn't want Vante to break his bones or attack him from getting too close again.
But what will he say to him? Just an apology won't work.
No, the fragile boy needs more than a sorry. He needs reassurance. A promise that someone won't break.
Jeongguk knows Taehyung deserves an explanation, he just doesn't know if he is ready to tell him yet.
Just focus on apologizing and getting Taehyung back.
He thought to himself right when he was getting into the shower and getting ready for bed.
-
It has been a couple of days that have passed and no signs of Taehyung. Only Vante. Vante is no longer as aggressive as he was before. But he still got a little protective sometimes.
He stayed in his bedroom for most of the time, only coming out when he was hungry.
But he wasn't going out for blood, not after that incident. He just eats whatever food he comes across in the fridge or the cabinets.
Only Seokjin or Namjoon has seen him, they greet him but don't get anything in return.
Jeongguk has stayed on his side of the base. He felt like it wasn't the best time to go see Taehyung. Vante was still pretty defensive and he didn't want to cause anymore trouble.
Today was the day he decided to see Taehyung. It was driving him insane, not being able to sleep by knowing the fact that Taehyung was crying. Wanting someone to comfort him. That is something else that confused him.
Everytime they hung out with each other, Jeongguk started to grow this urge to protect him. Wrap his arm around him and hide him from danger forever.
He has no idea why he started to feel like this. Maybe since the incident where Taehyung had a panic attack?
Showing him that not all vampires are monsters, but some are just scared and need comfort.
That's why he took him out that day, hanged out with him. He wanted to see the true side of Taehyung, wanting to get rid of the vampire stereotype he had in his head.
Jeongguk didn't want to judge anyone anymore just because they are a supernatural creature. He has to put his past behind him, and he is determined to do that. Strengthening his bond with Taehyung and creating a better friendship with him.
The raven got out of his office and made it down a long hallway which ended up at the large living room.
He turned left and eventually made his way to Taehyung's bedroom. His hands were slightly shaking from nervousness. He didn't know that once he opened the wall he would get attacked. But what worried him the most was if he wouldn't be able to talk with Vante properly.
But he did it anyway and knocked on the door. There wasn't a response so he turned the door knob and opened it up slightly.
Jeongguk peared his head through and saw Taehyung sitting down at the far side of the bed. Looking out at his rather large window.
Taehyung was wearing a big, grey hoodie with red pajama pants. Which was something he liked to wear a lot.
"T-Taehyung?" Jeongguk asked, gritting his teeth slightly from stuttering.
The other spun around and looked at Jeongguk, his eyes still their sharp blue color. Vante was still there.
The guilt in Jeongguk's stomach just added more, he felt utterly horrible.
"Mind if I come in, Vante?" He asked in a careful, soft tone.
Vante paused for a minute or so, debating if he should really let the other in or not. Taehyung inside of him has calmed down. Not crying anymore, but now he just wants to have some comfort.
He doesn't know if Taehyung is ready to resume control.
"I just want to talk, I promise,"
The blonde looked up and nodded. Jeongguk smiled slightly and sat on the other end of the bed. Vante's wary glare never leaves him.
To say that Jeongguk was not nervous was a complete lie, his palms were sweating slightly. He tried to rub them against his jeans to dry them up but it was no use.
He then took a deep breath and let it out.
"I'm sorry." He said while looking at Vante in the eyes.
"I know I scared you Taehyung and I'm sorry. Yesterday was the day where something tragic happened years ago and I was upset. But that is not a reason to yell at you and I'm sorry. My anger and feelings is something I can't figure out but I'm willing to try with you."
"Lately I have been feeling something with you and I have no idea what it is. I feel amazing when I am with you, utter happiness fills me when I see you laugh or smile, making me smile as well. Something I haven't done in years. Once again, I am sorry for causing you pain and I want to restart, try to start a new relationship between each other. Leaving no rough spots between each other."
Jeongguk finally finished, his dark chocolate eyes never leaving the other's blue ones. While he was talking, Vante's eyes softened slightly.
"What do you mean, 'something tragic happened years ago'?" Vante asked. Jeongguk was surprised slightly by how soft his voice sounded. Almost close to Taehyung's.
"One day I'll be able to tell you, I don't think I'm ready now,' Jeongguk mumbled.
The other nodded in understanding and went back to a fazed expression. Jeongguk had no idea what was going on, but he decided not to break the other's concentration.
Vante surprisingly started to bite his lip slightly, he was thinking. He knew Taehyung was listening and he already gave out an answer. But he is still hesitant. He can't help it though.
He sighed, bringing Jeongguk's attention.
"Taehyung forgives you.."
