"What are you doing?!" Lucas exclaimed in fear, not wanting to face the likely truth of losing something so important to him.

"Stop questioning my methods Lu!, it's fine! I'm just going to take this forbidden piece of jewel and alter it to my favor." His trusty friend, Marcus mentioned. Lucas shook his head in disbelief, not wanting to think about this in too much detail. Sure Marcus was his best companion, but in this case, a good enough companion doesn't compare to a not-so-good-enough heart.

The sheer grazes of the walls felt cold and rusty as if something or someone had existed down these forbidden pathways before. Lucas hitched his breath, his eyes darted around as they slowly crept their way through the dark shadows that shelter the poor unfortunate souls of this prison. A prison that wasn't meant to contain living things, but keeps them and experiments on them later. A prison that was both for the pains physically and mentally. One was lucky they escaped, but they wouldn't last so long out in the open.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The light of a new beginning beckoned upon the eyes of Lucas. His heart should be beating, but in some cases, his role was what answered that question, and would answer some future questions that would dwell upon his life.

Lucas blinked, his body and frame felt contained into a mold, not a mold that felt restricted and disabled from breaking or going out of bounds, but a mold that gave him a purpose. This purpose giving him a connection to whom he chooses to be. But his heart could not grasp on the reality of his unanswered question.

He turned to his right, only to see another young male doll, like him. His hair was jet black and looked very similar to Lous, he had beautiful hazel eyes, and skin as clear as anything. He shook his head in disbelief, not instantly processing the reality of what he sees. His heartbeat quickens, along with his pace. Lucas looks around the room frantically, seeking some sort of surface that had a reflection on it. Before he could make a sound, something already did. Lucas heard a small groan come from behind him. He instantly froze, his heartbeat stopping rather than speeding up. His body had felt fear for the first time and hopefully, he wouldn't feel it so often.

Lucas slow turned around, scared to even cause the sound of his squeaky shoes to minimize his chance of being safe. His eyes had been cast upon the doll that he had seen less than a minute ago.

The male doll's eyes opened, sharply and quickly. He looked as alert as Lucas did, but rather than that being so, he was more on guard, rather than frantic. His attention was immediately directed towards Lucas, his glare turning sharp and stern as his eyes narrowed. Lucas shrunk in fear. But before he could even blink, he was immediately met face to face with Marcus. Marcus had his right hand clenching Lucas's collar and his left arm in a fight position, with his fist high in the air ready to serve a punch.

"Who are you?! And where am I?!" Marcus spoke fast like the speed of light. Lucas could only mutter a few soft words

"I-I honestly have no idea-"

"Don't play games with me, little man!" Marcus was about to strike, but then Lucas ducked under his right arm and completely missed his swing. Marcus then toppled over to a compartment area and had accidentally clicked a button.

Writing had been displayed across the wall. The writing had shown these two dolls more about themselves that they didn't even know. Across the board, it read 'Prototype #275896' along with an identification profile for Marcus.

The two dolls knew the tension between them had lessened, being drawn to the mystery of this new discovery. Both could still not deny that they knew absolutely nothing about each other.

"Strengths: Academics, Engineering, Speed, Independent, Hand To Hand Combat?"

Well, that explained that.

"Weaknesses: Impulsiveness, Style, Insensitivity"

Well, now most of that's a mystery.

Marcus looked at Lucas. Hatred was replaced with confusion, but interest. He eyes Lucas and nodded his way towards his own compartment area. Lucas followed his attention and laid his eyes on the button. He hesitated but acted on it. He pressed the button and on came on 'Prototype #275897'

"Uh O-Okay. Well, Strengths: Academics, Fast Learner, Hand To Hand Combat, Stealth, Convincing."

"Why do you have more than me?"

Lucas shrugged and smiled sheepishly

"Weaknesses: Often Hesitant, Dependent, Less likely to be a leader."

Lucas shrugged and admitted defeat without thought. "I do agree with that last part."

A small silence commenced between the both of them.

A sigh gave out from Marcus. Lucas had begun to thi nk that he was already getting annoywed with him, but he offered his hand out to him.

"Marcus"

Lucas smiled and hesistated to take his hand

"Lucas."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I told you think was a bad idea!" The ground began to shake, the sight of the walls crumbling down only had Lucas's heart and soul fall along with it. He could not move a muscle.
