Dimitri had called out and the match started. In the split second before Felix lunged towards his opponent Em had already figured him out. He was extremely well studied on fighting, and he expected his opponent to be the same. He fought with his mind which made him less flexible to new environments.
He dashed towards her and swung as if to perform an uppercut with his sword but she hadn't even lifted her sword yet. In fact she dashed towards him too which startled him because her movements were quick and swift. She avoided the swing by moving slightly to the left, then being by his side now, she lifted her sword just enough to get under it. He had expected her to attack him and not his sword so he lost his balance by her closeness and stumbled backwards while she used her sword to yank his weapon toward her.
He lost his grip due to the awkward angle she made it for him and the metal fell to the floor. Before he could look down at his weapon to grab it she had her sword at his throat. The match was over in a matter of seconds.
"We have a winner!" Dimitri called out and the few spectators cheered.
"What?" Felix cried out. "What was that?"
"That was you losing," his friend chuckled as he handed Felix's fallen sword. "I told you she was a good fighter. You underestimated her," he explained. Dimitri congratulated Em before walking off to leave the two alone.
"I want a rematch," Felix demanded and Em chuckled in response.
"Okay we'll meet here tomorrow," she said. He glared at her as she walked away.
