Logan looked at Patton from inside the kitchen. It was Valentine's Day and Logan wanted to do something for his husband. He decided to go to the only one who knew about ways to romance people.
Roman.
~~~~~
Logan walked to Roman's room and knocked on the door. It opened, revealing Roman. Roman was surprised to see Logan.
"Can I help you?" Roman asked.
"Yes, I was wondering if you knew of ways to be romantic to people," Logan said.
Roman scoffed. "Of course I do. Is it for your husband?"
"Indeed. I don't know how to be romantic." Logan said.
"Well, that's pretty obvious," Roman said. "Come in."
Logan walked inside and Roman closed the door. "Ways to be romantic. Ah, romance! The one thing that makes a person happy!"
"Besides... actual happiness?" Logan asked. Roman walked around Logan.
"Logan, Logan, Logan... romance is the best thing of all, not happiness."
"In order to be romantic with someone, they must have at least some happiness, right?" Logan asked.
"Eh... somewhat. Anyways, you must give him gifts. I know of a lot of gifts for you to give to Patton."
Roman snapped his fingers, summoning a ton of things.
"Patton is a baking and cooking person, he loves anything that correlates to cooking. You must give him a new cookbook, a gift card to a new restaurant, a fancy bottle of wine paired with delicious cheese, a fancy new cooking tool, and nice new serving bowls." Roman said the things quickly while pointing to each of them.
"Alright, what else?" Logan asked.
"Patton is the sentimental type. You've been together for a while. Recreate your first date together and write him a letter that shows how much your love has grown since then. And especially, spend a night in looking at your old photos and letters together."
"Anything else?"
"Leave a note in your loved one's textbook or pleasure-reading book. Your loved one may not find it for a few days, but when he does, it'll put a big smile on his face. Also when he texts you, respond back quickly because you don't know if it'll be important or not. That's all the advice to give, so now execute them as I said."
"Okay, thank you, Roman."
"No problem, nerd."
~~~~~
Logan was in Patton's room. Patton was in the Imagination and wouldn't be back for a while. Logan summoned the stuff that Roman said he would like. He organized it and made sure it was perfect. He then proceeded to go through Patton's picture books and place sweet notes saying how much Logan loved him.
Logan wrote a letter before he executed everything in Patton's room. He placed the letter in front of the neatly-organized gifts.
He texted Patton asking if he would like to go on a date with him and Patton responded with a yes. Logan walked outside of Patton's room and closed the door. He waited for Patton to arrive.
Patton then rose up and saw Logan.
"Logie, what are you doing here?" Patton asked.
"I wanted to show you something." Logan opened Patton's door. Patton walked inside his room and gasped once he saw the gifts.
"Logie...? Why is there cooking and baking stuff here?" Patton questioned.
"I figured since it was Valentine's Day, I would give you some stuff. Roman helped me with this." Logan said. "Read the letter."
Patton reached down and grabbed the letter. He opened it and read it.
'I desire you when splinters of light appear
And the dew lazily joins morning sky.
When arias, pining birds to mates sing,
I want the soothing softness of your kiss.I desire you when the sun centers the sky
And shadows hide beneath the soles of feet.
When butterflies dance among petals white,
I want the sparkle of your smiling eyes.
I desire you as the moon welcomes the night
And skies are flooded with twinkling bright stars.
When candles flicker their last silent breath,
I then want to feel your sensuous touch.
I desire you when passion swells all your soul
And your lovely face shines with radiance.
When your moist lips are full of love's desire,
I want to feel every pulse of your heart.
I desire you when you are weary and down
And gray skies sprinkle droplets of sad tears.
When the world laughs at your every stumble,
I want to gently soothe your sorrows.
I desire you, my love, in every moment.
As time adds years like sands on the beach,
When you sense your beauty slipping to the wind,
I will want you so much more than now.'Patton was silent for a moment. He turned around to Logan and started to cry.
"I love you so much..." Patton muttered.
"As do I, love," Logan said. Patton hugged Logan. "I also planned to have our date in the Imagination where he had our first one."
"How did you come up with this again?" Patton asked.
"Roman gave me advice," Logan said.
"Why?"
"Because I'm bad when it comes to emotions."
"You don't need Roman's advice. You can just be yourself and I would still be happy."
"But myself is..." Logan trailed off.
"You are a wonderful husband, you just don't see it." Patton caressed Logan's cheek.
"Really...?"
"Of course. I love you because you're you." Patton smiled.
Logan smiled and hugged Patton. Patton returned it happily.
