Warnings: Injury (to Patton)
~~~~~~~~~~
Logan looked at his hand at the tingly feeling he felt when Patton brushed past him. He looked past his shoulder to see Patton turn the corner. The bookworm sighed and entered his room.
'When I'm with him, I feel calm and at ease. It feels as though he can calm me down in an instant, it's like there is nothing to worry about when I'm with him.
When he lightly brushes past me, I can feel the tiniest spark of electricity shock me, making me somewhat widen my eyes and look at him. He looks at me with his brown eyes and gives me a warm smile that can brighten up anybody's day.
When he actually touches me, he does it so gently as if he doesn't want to startle me. As if I'm a stray wandering the streets alone without someplace to call home. He speaks to me sometimes. He would sit on my desk or would grab a spare chair and would just talk to me. It's relaxing since he doesn't expect me to talk.
When we're with the others, I always seem to glance at him, but I can't find myself to make a move. I always get so close, but one of the others speaks up and I metaphorically chicken out at the last second. I wish he could see how I feel.
When we're alone together, we're usually in our onesies or in the Imagination watching the stars. It's what we usually do together. He doesn't seem to mind, but I can't help but wonder if he wants to do something more exciting. I am quite boring, as the others would say.
Whenever I'm with him, I feel alive. Well, I am alive. But, still. I feel like my heart could metaphorically beat out of my chest at any second and I feel like I could just say how I feel about him at any second while I'm around him.
I love him...
I love Patton Morality Sanders.'
Logan looked at the paper containing his feelings. He looked around his room, his eyes landing on the bookshelf that was well over his height.
'Patton is short, he can't reach there, can he? Unless his clumsiness will make him run into the bookcase, I think I'll hide this paper there.' Logan thought as he grabbed the paper and shoved it on top of the books.
~~~~~
Patton was dusting Logan's room since it needed to be dusted. Logan had gone to the Imagination to get something important, Roman had also gone with him, Virgil was probably listening to PG 13 music again, Janus was shedding, Remus was having a lazy day, and Emile and Remy were on a date, which left Patton to clean the Mindpalace.
Patton wasn't bothered though, he was used to cleaning the Mindpalace alone.
The bubbly male was dusting the huge bookcase when he saw something sticking out from the top of the books. It looked like a piece of paper. Patton raised an eyebrow and decided to climb the bookcase, careful of where he put his feet against the ledge of the bookshelves.
His left knee suddenly hit the underside of the bookcase ledge, making him grab onto a few books and fall onto the floor and onto his back.
"Ow, ow, ow...!" Patton whimpered as he held his knee close to him. He noticed that his glasses fell off his face. He pulled himself onto his knees, but he instantly fell forward with a yelp upon realizing his left knee was probably going to have a bruise on it. Patton sat on his right knee instead and grabbed his glasses, shoving them on his face.
Patton noticed the paper that was on the books from before. He scooted forward and grabbed it, reading the first few lines, making his eyes widen as a thought crossed his mind.
'Does he like someone?' Patton thought, 'But who-?'
"P-Patton!?" A voice yelled. Patton jumped a bit and looked towards the doorway to see Logan.
"Logan? I didn't expect you to be here until 4:30." Patton said.
"Patton... it is 4:30." Logan sighed.
"Oh-" Patton looked back to the paper up until it was snatched from his hands. Patton could've sworn he saw his name on there.
"H-How much did you read?" Logan asked as he glanced at the paper.
"I was at 'when we're with the others'," Patton said.
"Okay..." Logan sighed, seemingly in relief, then muttered, "That's good."
"Who do you like, Logan?" Patton questioned.
"N-No one." Logan stuttered.
"Nonsense! It sounds to me like you're in love with someone." Patton smiled softly at Logan.
"I-I..." Logan glanced down, then his eyes widened at the books that were scattered around the floor, "Patton, how did you get to this paper...?"
"I- um... climbed up to it, hit my knee against the bookshelf and I fell off..." Patton muttered.
Logan sighed again, "Let me see your knee."
"Okay..." Patton muttered.
~~~~~
Logan had gotten the first-aid kit and Patton shoved his pant leg up to let Logan see. A large bruise had formed on Patton's knee.
"This might hurt a little bit, so hold on to me if it does." Logan grabbed Patton's hand and put it on his arm. Logan grabbed some kind of cream and started to slowly rub it on the bruise. Patton leaned into Logan a bit and tightened his grip on Logan.
Logan wrapped Patton's knee in bandages. Patton let go of Logan's arm and shoved his pant leg down.
"Thanks, Lo." Patton smiled a bit.
"It's no problem." Logan blushed a bit.
Patton noticed something and frowned. He leaned in closer, making Logan lean back.
"P-Patton, what are you doing-?" Logan stuttered.
Patton gasped and leaned back. He stood up, his left leg bent because of his knee. He grinned at Logan, who was slightly scared of Patton's sudden behavior.
"I like you too!" Patton said.
"Wh-What?" Logan's eyes widened.
"The way you're acting towards me... and when I read the paper. You love me, right?" Patton bit his lip, looking at Logan with hopeful eyes.
Logan looked at Patton before nodding slowly, a small smile appearing on his face. Patton clapped his hands and he hugged Logan, careful of his leg.
"I love you too," Patton said.
Logan blushed hard and hugged back, smiling. He pulled Patton into his lap, making him yelp. He giggled once he realized what happened as Logan chuckled.
Patton kissed Logan's cheek and nuzzled into his chest.
Writing your feelings down on paper can lead to strange things, that's for sure.
