For the past few weeks Jisung and I have been living in the cabin. It was a bit hard getting used to, but it wasn't bad. It definitely was a lot calmer than the nights at his previous appartement. There wasn't anyone randomly breaking in anymore, so I guess that was a good thing.
We haven't heard from Chris since, nor did Felix or anyone else. Jisung gave me his old phone so I could still keep in contact with the rest if I ever got bored or lonely when he was away, for grocery shopping for example. His old contacts were still in it as well. Minho... and Chris. There were times I thought of texting him, but luckily enough for me that feeling quickly went away again.
"Sunshine, I'm home!" Jisung's voice echoed through the cabin as he closed the door behind him. He put the groceries on the table, taking off his jacket. I got out of our shared bedroom, putting the groceries away. He smiled, but clearly something was up. I could read his emotions like an open book.
"Did something happen?" I asked casually, not really looking at him but noticing his movement stopped. "It's nothing, don't worry about it." He said, waving it off. I simply shrugged, not wanting to pressure him. He walked up to me, hugging me from behind. Even though skinship was becoming more and more normal, it still startled me a little, not expecting it at all.
Jisung must have noticed, but didn't let me go. "Please let me stay like this for a little while..." he said with a small voice. Something must have happened after all... His breathing became heavier, causing a tingling feeling in my neck, a shiver sending down my spine. He buried his head in the crook of my neck, his arms wrapped around my waist.
Time seemed to have stopped. I placed my hands on top of his, closing my eyes. I let my head fall backwards a little, leaning against his chest. "Y/N..." he whispered. I opened my eyes looking at him, my head now completely tilted back. He carefully turned me around, making me face him. One hand remained on my waist, the other moving to my cheek. His gaze penetrated my soul, so tender yet serious. So loving yet careful.
He leaned in, his face slowly growing closer and closer, until our lips connected. It was a short kiss, but contained a thousand feelings one could not possibly describe. He slowly pulled back, our eyes not leaving each other. "Y/N, even though you might not completely be over Chris, please give me a chance to prove how much I care for you. I might not have much experience when it comes to dating, but if there's one thing I want to do is to give you the love you deserve... Y/N, will you let me?"
My mind couldn't possibly progress it all, so I simply spoke from my heart. "Jisung, I'm still not quite sure about my feelings, and I might not completely be over Chris, and I know it might be selfish of me..." His eyes already grew sad. "...but yes" I finished with a shy smile. "I'm not sure what this feeling is yet, but it's telling me to stay with you from the bottom of my heart..."
Jisung's face lightened up instantly. He held my face with both his hands, planting another, this time more passionate kiss on them. As he broke away again he pulled me close, the smile never leaving. We swayed from right to left, back and forth. "I can't believe you're actually mine" he said in awe, his smile only growing wider. I chuckled, seeing how cute he was. Maybe I really could get a second chance at happiness with him.
He grabbed my hand, pulling me outside. "Wait, where are we going!" I said surprised. "On a date!" he simply said, more happy than ever before. I sped up a little, catching up to him instead of walking behind. Our glances met, the both of us continuiesly smiling. It seemed as if all of our problems had completely disappeared, not even thinking about anything else anymore but each other.
We arrived at the mall, both just roaming around, seeing if there was anything nice. "Y/N, look!" Jisung said, pointing at a poster. We walked closer to it. "There's a fireworks festival next week! Do you want to go?" I looked him in the eye, 'duh' written all over my face. "Of course I want to go!"
After saving the date and location we continued walking around the mall. Jisung suddenly stopped, looking at me. "Y/N, can you get us something to drink? There's something I forgot, I'll be right back okay?" I nodded, going into the cafe right in front of us. He quickly kissed my cheek before we both took off.
"Two hot chocolate to go please!" I said at the cash desk. "Coming right up!" the employee said, already starting to make them. I turned around again, wanting to go out of the way when I accidentally bumped into the person behind me. "I'm sorry" I quickly apologized, looking up at the person, only to freeze. "It's oka-"
"Y/N?" he asked confused, hurt, yet still so lovingly. Why. Why him. Why him, of all people. I instantly looked down, not wanting to look at him, simply knowing I couldn't let myself drown in his gaze again. One look and I'd want to forgive him. One look and he could make me fall for him again. But no, I couldn't let him. I wouldn't let him hurt me again.
"Hi Chris."
