Don't Walk Away

*1 week later*

Kristin's POV:
It was another day in the military base, everyone looked different since the war was every day a little bit closer, the soldiers were a week away from it, the training was almost all day and 3 times stronger than before:
-Kristin?- I heard a voice after a knock on my door, it was Lindsey.
-Yes?- I said pretending to read files of the soldiers but i couldn't think about anything that wasn't Mikey.
-I came to see how are you doing about all of the chaos?- she nicely said sitting in front of my desk.
-Well i'm trying...to focus- I said barely lifting my sight to meet hers.
-Failing apparently- she said grabbing the file that I was "reading" and placed it again on my hands, I had it upside down all this time.
Clever Kristin...just great
-Sorry though, I can't think about anything, all of us are watching a bunch of young man walk to their death, is so cruel- I said leaving the file on the desk.
-Yeah you are worried about that and obviously about Mikey- she said in a mocking tone.
-You are right, i'm worried about Mikey as you are worried about Gerard- I smiled victorious.
-What are you talking about?- she asked blushed and surprised.
-Come on!! Is evident- I answered.
-The jerk of Mikey told you right?- she said angry making me laugh.
-You are not the only one who have crushes around here- I said making her laugh.
-True, but i'm scared too, as strict as i am, I still have feelings and of course they belong to Gerard, so i'm here to support you and Jamia and all the collegues that are suffering in this way- she said with a smile on her face.
I was surprised, she had never told me something like that, to me she was just my boss but apparently she was my friend too.
-Thanks Linds, anytime you can also reach out to me- I said as I directed my sight to the fields where all the boys where training.
-You really like him don't you?- she said after a few seconds of silence.
-Yeah...i don't know what is going to happened but i will wait for him- I answered.
-That is exactly the same plan that Jamia and I have, wait...that's all we can do- she said lifting herself of the chair- well I need to continue my work, see you soon Kris.
-Bye Linds- I said pressing my head in my hands. I walked to my room getting out a sigh and walking to the bathroom to take a shower, that was the only way of relaxing, as the warm water dripped off my back I realize I couldn't relax, not even with a warm shower i could stop thinking about Mikey, he was the only thing that mattered to me, a strong feeling came all of the times that i thought about him.
God please, send him back alive...

Mikey's POV:
All of the boys were already asleep but I couldn't, the nerve of going to war was killing me and my relation with Kristin was not helping at all, I really wanted to make things the right way with her, I don't want to lose her:
-Still awake baby bro?- Gerard said scaring me in the dark.
-Gerard...how many times i said to you to stop calling me that way and can you please stop scaring me- I said turning around in my bed.
-You weren't even sleeping, you think too much- he said aproaching to my bed and sitting near my feet.
-How do you expect me to not think too much, i'm worried about this whole situation and for the first time i'm in love, truly in love Gerard, but everything is falling apart again, i will never get better- I said as my head start pounding and my eyes watered.
-Shh calm down Mikey, i know that you are dealing with a lot of stuff now and your disorder is getting worse because you are stressed so calm the fuck down ok? You will get better, i promise, just trust me for once- he said holding my shoulder and caressing it.
-I always trust in you Gerard, you are the only one that is keeping me alive, thanks- I said smiling at him.
-Now you have another reason to keep yourself alive buddy- he said smirking.
-Kristin...- I whispered making him laugh.
-You are really fucked, officialy you are deep down in love Mikey Way and you can't help it!!- he sang on my face mocking me.
-This is why I don't tell you my things- I said rolling my eyes.
-Oh come on!! I'm joking, by the way, I asked Lindsey to be my girlfriend- he said quickly.
-What?!? Finally!!- i said clapping.
-And have you asked Kristin to be your girlfriend?- he asked putting pressure on me.
-Well...no exactly- I answered embarassed.
-Oh Mikey, you are one step behind my brother, go ahead and ask her now- he said excited.
-Gee, is 12:30 a.m she is probably sleeping right now- I said looking at the clock on my night stand.
-Well they don't seem asleep you know? Their lights are on- he said pointing through the window that let us see through the window of the girls building.
-I'm not going to cross all the field like some crazy guy to ask a girl to be my girlfriend- I said as I stood up and looked that the light was on and a few shadows were passing in front, it was definitely her, my heart started beating fast:
-Get dressed, I need to give something to Linds any way and you are coming with me- he said grabbing my arm and placing me in front of my closet.
-I don't have anything planned Gerard, I just met her a while ago, what if she rejects me?- I asked terrified.
-Do you really think she would reject you? You are clearly more blind that you already are, also you can improvise, is not that hard to ask her, there is no time to lose- he said placing my glasses on my hand.
I hated my glasses, I looked like a dumb nerd, that is why I used contacts but i can't sleep with them. Now my brother had me dressed at 12:30 a.m and he was going to forced me through the field to walk to the females building and ask Kristin to be my girlfriend, oh and in this stupid glasses.
We started to walk as I complained more and more, we made it to the building after a few minutes, anxiety start growing inside of me as Jamia answered the door:
-Hey guys, what exactly are you doing here at this time?- she asked confused.
-Hello Jamia can we talk to Lindsey and Kristin please?- Gerard said with a smile.
-Oh sure!! I will go get them- she said enthusiastic.
-I can't believe i'm doing this, all because of you- I said pointing at my brother.
-Excuse me but i'm doing you a favor and if you don't have the guts to ask her I swear to God Mikey I will...- he got interrupted by the two girls opening the door.
-It's nice to have you here- Lindsey said to Gerard.
-I just came to see you baby- he said kissing her.
Iugh...i'm traumatized
-Hey Mikey- Kristin said as I looked at my brother with disgust.
-Oh sorry that is too late but can I talk to you? It will take just a moment- I shyly said.
-Take your time!!- Gerard screamed and waved at us as we walked away.
-Can you shut up for once!!- I screamed back to him making Kristin giggle.
-Well as I was saying, Kristin oh well...- I start getting so nervous I could barely speak.
-Calm down, it's fine- she said holding my hands in hers.
-Sorry...I came here to ask you something- I said looking her in the eyes.
-And what is that?- she asked curiously and smiling.
-Would you be my girlfriend Kristin? I know it sounds crazy because I just met you but I really love you and we don't have much time...- i start stuttering
Great, now I look more like a loser...
It surprised me as she walked closer to me placing her hands in my cheeks and kissing me, i could hardly process what was going on:
-Yes Mikey, of course- she said still close to my face as i felt her smile on my lips- by the way, you look great in those glasses.
-Well thanks for the sarcasm- I answered ashamed.
-Mikey I really mean it, you look more intelectual and more interesting, don't get me wrong i also love you without them but you look...handsome- she said adjusting my glasses upwards to my nose.
Ok maybe she is also blind
-Really?- I asked surprised.
-Yeah, you have the prettiest eyes I had ever seen, and with the glasses, they look bigger and i love that- she said blushing.
-You haven't seen your eyes then, I can't think about anything else that your eyes and your perfect smile- I said hugging her.
-Alright, sorry for interuppting but Mikey and I need to go, we have training tomorrow in the morning and no one knows we are here- he said still holding Lindsey.
-Fine...- I said annoyed.
-You didn't want to come over and now you don't want to go?- he said making the things worse...as always.
-Why you didn't wanna come?- Kristin said sadly.
-Well i was nervous to ask you, that's all, but it turned out to be better than I expected- I said kissing her again.
-Let's go Mikey, if the general find out that we are out of our building and especially in the building of the girls he is going to kill us- he said separating me from Kristin.
-Alright, I guess i have to go, see you soon Kristin- i said hugging her as i placed a kiss on his forehead.
-Ok, love you- she said waving her hand as we walked away.
-Love you too- I said doing the same.
We walked with Gerard in the field as we talked about Kristin and Lindsey, after a few minutes we were back in our building:
-Guys!!!- Frank screamed hugging Gerard- you scared me!!
-Why?- Gerard said with a smile and hugging him back.
-I went to your room and neither of you were there- he said letting Gerard go.
-We went to see the girls- I said as he looked ofended.
-And you didn't take me there with you?!?- he said crossing his arms on his chest, he looked like a angry baby.
-Sorry Frankie, it was a decision we made up in a moment and you were sleeping like a baby on your room- Gerard said pressing Frank's cheeks.
-You saw me before you went there?- he asked as my brother blushed.
-Yeah...- he said leaving an uncomfortable silence.
-I'm going to sleep, you can stay up all night if you want to but you are going to die in the training tomorrow- I said breaking the tension.
-Yeah that's true, bye guys- Frank said running back to his room.
By this time it was already 1:30 a.m and i was getting tired so I went back to bed and turn off the lights:
-Night night Mikey- Gerard said.
-Good night Gee- I responded as i fell asleep.

Kristin's POV:
What did just happened?
I was so confused, why Mikey couldn't wait for tomorrow to tell me that but it was really cute experience:
-What happened?!?- Jamia asked me as I came into the building.
-He asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes- I said as she let out a little scream hugging me.
-That's amazing Kris!!- she said as we walked to our bedrooms talking about the boys.
