The Eggsterminator knocked us around. We couldn't do anything against it! "All right, Eggsterminator, enough fooling around. Drop them already." The Eggsterminator picked our broken bodies up but then delivered a final dropkick to knock us into the sea and a watery grave. I sank deeper into the sea as everything went dark. I'm sorry Chris and...Maria. I couldn't save either of you.

Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe let out a cry of terror whilst Chris looked on in muted horror with a small whimper. Memories of Sonic and Y/N began flooding through him. Chris rescuing Sonic from the pool. Y/N helping him with school work and playing with him whilst his parents were away. At the sight of what very well could have been the death of his heroes, he lets out an anguished cry. With a combination of his sadness, anger, and adrenaline, Chris managed to break free of the bracket. "Why you...!" Chris ran over and reached for the Chaos Emeralds, nearly burning himself on them, but he succeeded in removing them from the shield. "My Emeralds!" The battered Chris tumbled onto the dash, hitting the windshield. He held the Chaos Emeralds tightly towards his chest. "They're mine...Mine...I won't... urgh...ugh...I won't let you take them away from me...ever again...Ever..." His voice was quiet and tired, barely audible. "That mealy-mouthed little crybaby shouldn't be so reckless. After all, those Emeralds are powering the Eggsterminator, and without them, this thing would be sent plummeting into the sea!" Eggman exclaimed, looking at the broken part of the wall where Chris was secured. "As a matter of fact, we should be plummeting any moment now" he added to his previous statement. "I am sorry, Doctor, but did you just say "plummeting"?" Decoe questioned fearfully before Eggman grabbed him. "Don't just stand there!" But before anyone could do anything, Knuckles broke through the windshield. "Where's Chris?! I'm taking him with me!" The red-headed teen was extremely angered, he'd been tricked once again and now three people were in trouble because of his idiocy. The least he could do right now was save them. "Well, if it isn't our good friend Knuckles. How good of you to drop in for a visit" Eggman laughed nervously, Knuckles pound the ground with his fist, scaring Eggman and his lackeys mad. "Ohh..." "I think he's upset!" "He's coming with me, and that's that" he stated before looking around but Chris was nowhere to be seen. "I said, where is he?! What did you do with Chris?!" Knuckles barked.

Rogue, the government spy and jewel enthusiast had taken Chris as well as the six Chaos Emeralds and was now flying back towards the helicopter. "Enough Emeralds for a whole necklace, maybe some matching earrings" she smiled to herself. " Sonic...Y/N...Let me...go..." Chris was still extremely weak, his eyes were closed and he'd probably fall completely unconscious within a few seconds. "No way. Not after all the trouble, I went through!" Rogue argued "Y/N! Sonic!" Chris struggled to free himself from Rouge and finally managed to succeed, plunging towards the ocean with the Chaos Emeralds. "Oh no!" Rouge swooped down and grabbed Chris but then realized her mistake. "He made me drop my Chaos Emeralds!" The Emeralds continued to fall before splashing into the sea. "Oh well, there goes my new jewellery..." She sighed heavily before she was suddenly grabbed by the Eggsterminator's hand. "The Eggsterminator is malfunctioning. It's all because of that peeping brat!" Eggman shouted with an annoyed tone. "Where's Chris!?" Knuckles asked once again but received no answer. "Urgh... You're awfully fresh" she grunted, trying to get Chris and herself free but the Eggsterminator's grip was only getting tighter.

Soon the X-Tornado flew overhead. "We're coming, Chris!" Though the boy was unsure of how he'd be able to help, without an Emerald, the X-Tornado couldn't do much of anything. Suddenly a part of the water began to glow gold and converged onto that spot. "Look! Could it be...?" "Amy, I think it's Sonic!" "It might be, but where's that glow coming from?" Sonic, powered by the seven Chaos Emeralds, rose from the ocean, having become Super Sonic. He held an unconscious Y/N in his arms and took her to dry land before completely destroying the hand holding Rouge and Chris. "Doctor! Something is happening! The Eggsterminator is losing its grip!" Docoe panicked "this is not good. What do we do now, Doctor?" Bocoe questioned. "We do nothing. Right at this very moment, those seven Chaos Emeralds are mingling way down in the bottom of the sea. The great moment has finally come. Let Chaos Control begin!" The Eggsterminator attempted to pound Super Sonic with its remaining hand, but no damage was done, as Super Sonic easily caught the fist with his left hand and held it at bay. "Well, Knuckles, your wish came true, but I got some unfinished business. Take this, Eggman!" Super Sonic smirked before proceeding to fly all through the Eggsterminator, delivering several mortal wounds to the robot. It began to explode in a huge fireball from the catastrophic damage dealt by Super Sonic and Chaos Control began to take place. The ever-expanding sphere of light expanded outwards capturing the G.U.N. Helicopter, the X-Tornado as well as several buildings in its blinding light.

In a completely white area, Super Sonic put down the unconscious Chris. "Can you hear me, pal?" Chris slowly opened his eyes. "I'm finally going home, thanks to you, Chris" Super Sonic smiled down at the other boy. Chris, still injured and exhausted struggled to form words. "Sonic...take me with you, please." He started tearing up "I don't wanna stay here... not without you." Sonic used Chaos energy to heal Chris' wounds, the latter sat up and hugged Sonic. "Ah... Sonic!" Chris cried, holding his friend tightly. "It's gonna be okay. I promise" Sonic smiled "Sonic, please don't leave. You're the best friend I ever had! I don't want you to go away. I'll miss you so much. Please don't go! Please!" Chris sobbed but Sonic faded from his grasp. He let out an anguished cry "You can't goooo!"
A large, fog-covered landmass had suddenly appeared in the sky. Instead of going home, more people and places had been brought to their world. Angel Island, Big and Froggy and even a new threat who went by the name Chaos.
