Lucas and I followed Ava to the main door, walking into the hospital single file. The fluorescent lighting was tinted, creating a faint yellow glow throughout the building and casting on each person's face. A certain stale smell resonated throughout the lobby, mixing with the drably colored furniture.

As we walked past the front desk, we received a glare from the bobbed-haired lady at the front desk. Her dark auburn hair contrasted against her pale skin, making her even more intimidating as her beady dark eyes glared up from her spectacles.

After we passed the lobby and entered the hallways, an eerie feeling sent a chill down my spine as the hospital became more and more silent the further we got, the only sound was the soft thud of our footsteps against the grey thin carpet and the faint buzz of electricity.

Finally, Ava came to a stop and opened the door to room number 37. The room was dull, but not in the decorative way.  It was dull in the sense that the room remained silent and an eerie mood hung over each and every one of us in the room.

The group was scattered throughout the room. Some sat on chairs surrounding the desk and wall. Others had chosen to stand against the walls, which were a pale baby blue. They were accented by light oak wood panels and furniture.
