MONDAY ... 17:45 pm

INSIDE A CAFETERIA OF THE CITY CENTER ...

Krist growled as he glanced at the time it appeared on his mobile's screen. Moments later, after leaving the small device on the table with more force than expected, he took the milkshake that was in front of him and brought it towards his lips.

Half an hour...

It was more than half an hour late already and Singto still wasn't giving any sign of life, not even a call or a message had been sent to warn him that he was going to be delayed or simply that he would not appear.

Nothing...

Like so many times already...

The young man ducked his head as he tried to prevent the tears from coming out and slide down his cheeks as, without a doubt, that was the last thing he needed ... to give a free show in the middle of the bar that was frequented by all his friends.

Although ... he had not doubt that sooner or later they would find out. They always did. And, like every time Singto had left him alone in the middle of a date, he would end up having to explain the man's actions to Toptap, Godt and Kimmon.

"At least Godt is not in the country, if not ...," though the young man as he remembered the last time something similar had happened. Godt had even tried to hit Singto while Kimmon ... Kimmon had simply looked at him with an expression that had forced him to look away, feeling ashamed.

- "But not this time, Singto ... I'm not going to save your face again in front of everyone!" - Krist growled while, in a fury, he got up and headed for the door - "This is the last time you forget about me and our date ..."

After that, and with a determined expression on his face, he left the small establishment and headed towards the taxi rank that was at the corner of the street...

FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER....

Krist got out of the car and, after paying for the race, said goodbye to the driver with a slight forced smile. Finally, after the vehicle had left him alone, Krist looked up and fixed his gaze at the building that was in front of him. Just across the street...

It was a block of modern flats and lofts that was very well known. Singto had brought him there several times, usually during those days in which they had wanted to be alone, however this was the first time he had come without the man knowing it...

Krist sighed, thinking of all the times that ... as if they had to hide from the world ... Singto had preferred to enter through the parking lot of the block and, with the key to his house, go straight up to the loft where he lived.

At first he had not given importance to that matter but ... after so long going out together ... he had begun to worry.

Could it be that, as his friends had told him before, Singto was ashamed of him and of what they have?

Was that the motive behind him never wanting to go to his house to meet his parents?

"Is he really  just... just playing with me?", he wondered as he crossed the road and approached the main entrance.

The doorman, a middle-aged man who, the few times they had met, had always greeted him with a smile and kind words, approached him as he entered through the wide glass doors.

- "Good Morning.."

- "Good morning, John" - Krist replied to the greeting while observing, intrigued, the nervous behavior of the man who, once and again, was looking towards the doors of the elevator that led to the different apartments.
