"Aeonia!"

My Mom called as I was walking towards the car. I already checked numerous times if I left any of my things.

I turned to my mother and raised an eyebrow. Masyado syang paranoid, kanina pa dapat ako nakaalis!

"Take care," she kissed my cheek. I replied with a small smile.

As soon as I got inside the car, the driver revved it to life. It's going to be a long ride. From North to South.

Our estate is at the edge of the North. Basically nasa border na ng North at ng Mainland. And Grimaldi is located the the other edge of the Mainland bordering the South naman.

After long agonizing hours of travel we reached the copper and gold gates of Grimaldi University.

Mukhang hindi lang ako ang maaga. Cars also lined up at the entrance.

It was a spectacle. Until now I couldn't believe that I would be studying here. I always thought it was a far-fetched dream but now, I'll be gracing these halls.

This will be my home for the next five years.

The grass were in a bright shade of green. Marble statues adorned the place. The stone pavement. Lush cypress trees. And the buildings were mostly Neoclassical masterpieces.

When the car passed by its College of Architecture, I felt my heart skipped a beat. My eyes couldn't leave the site even though the car is moving fast.

"Miss Alger, andito na po tayo."

I took a good look at the building when I got down. Neat. The right word to describe it. No, immaculate even.

A girl in red wearing Grimaldi's uniform greeted me at the entrance along with other students that are moving in today.

Long sleeves iyon na puti na ang kapartner deep red na straight cut skirt tsaka necktie na ganoon rin ang kulay.

We were instructed to get our keycards and room assignments at the front desk. After that we're off to our rooms at the West Wing. Boys occupy the East Wing.

Hindi na rin masama 'tong dorm. There's a common room, gym, study area, and a cafeteria.

Thank God, solo ko yung room!  One of the things I like about this univ is that we get to have our own rooms. Para ngang hindi ito dorm. Nagmistulang hotel ito. May high ceiling, queen-sized bed, tapos my bathtub pa yung banyo!

I can't stand nosy roommates. I had an experience when I tried boarding school during my last year in elementary. It was torture. They did not understand the concept of personal space and did not know how to shut up. Bilang lang ang araw na nakatulog ako ng ayos. So no, never again.

I plopped down the bed as soon as I got there.

The movers started flooding inside with my things, and boy did I just realize that I brought a lot.

"Saan po ilalapag to, Ms Alger?" the guy holding my trunk asked.

"Just leave it anywhere," I waved my hand, savoring the softness of my bed. Not as soft as the one I had at the estate but this will do.

Boxes and trunks almost filled half of the room. I got up and got my aloe plant from the top of one of the boxes and placed it on the windowsill.
