My mother sent a driver to fetch me. I said I wouldn't take the chopper so she didn't insist because I'm not comfortable in great heights. I also want to see the buildings on the road for inspiration.

I didn't pack much for the trip back to the North. Puro basics lang naman yung dinala kong damit dito. And since I'll only be gone for the holidays and I'll still stay here for the next semester, so why bother?

I checked my luggage again for like the nth time. I'll also have another bag for my laptop and other gadgets. Mag-uuwi rin ako ng duplicates ng pictures ko dito na nilagay ko sa isang album.

Kahapon nagprint kami nila Ellora ng pictures. After non we decided that we'll put it in albums, so after a not-so-quick trip to the bookstore because, ehem, Iradessa and Ellora, we finally made it back to the dorms. Doon namin sa dorm ni Uri inayos yung albums, because she has a lot of stationery and design stuff— and selfies.

We went to my room to get ready for the night after 'cleaning' our mess. There's still glitter on the floor when we left.

Nagdecide kami na nagbreakfast ng magkakasama sa dining hall for the last time this year. I waved at our other classmates. Tulog pa siguro yung iba and some are probably still nursing their hangovers. I couldn't see Blair, Kielce and the others so that must be it. I wore my cashmere sweater and sweatpants so I'll be comfortable for the long ass ride later.

I can still feel the light hangover from last night. So much for loosening up, nasobrahan pa ata ako kagabi. Mukhang matutulog lang ako mamaya sa sasakyan instead of my original plan.

Mamimiss ko rin yung pagkain dito. Also the café. Parang gusto ko tuloy ng takeout ng coffee and croissant mamaya. I'll keep that in mind.

I got bacon, eggs, and pancakes from the breakfast buffet. I also got a glass of orange juice for the drink. Ellora and Iradessa also got their breakfast of their choice.

Huling dumating si Uri sa dining hall. Hinatid lang s'ya ni Raven sa mesa namin. Mukhang bagong gising rin at nakapantulog pa ang luka. Pero di man lang nakalimutan mag-liptint. Consistent.

"Happy holidays, girls," he greeted and we replied the same.

Umalis na rin ito pagkakuha nila ni Uri ng pagkain. He kissed her forehead before he went off to their table. Seriously, these two.

"San ka mag-vacay?" tanong ni Ellora kay Uri.

"North for Christmas, Mainland for New Year. Though di pa ko sure kayla Mom baka sa North lang kami for the whole holiday.  Ikaw ba Aeo?"

"Sa North lang rin. Wala kaming ibang plans for holiday. Tsaka gusto ko lang matulog don," sagot ko.

"True that! Haha!"

Magbabawi talaga ako ng tulog! I can already hear my Mom's voice scolding me for the bags under my eyes. Para namang ginusto ko 'to.

I also miss my room in our estate. I miss the peace and quiet. Masyadong maingay dito sa Mainland. Our estate is quite isolated since gusto nila Dad na may golf course. We also don't have nearby neighbors. Nasanay lang siguro ako.

The city is great but I prefer the tranquility of the countryside.

Trees over stoplights any day.

"Di pa ba bawi, Ellora eh natutulog ka lang sa klase." Iradessa teased habang kumukain ng açai bowl.

Chill chill lang s'ya dahil hindi naman s'ya uuwi ng malayo although I've never been there. Sabi n'ya an hour away lang ang estate nila. Nakapantulog pa s'ya nang pumasok ng dining hall. Nagpatong lang s'ya ng cardigan. Kulang na lang yung sleeping mask n'ya tapos fluffy slippers.
