"Aeo, yung slides nga pala sa reporting, okay na?" tanong ni Brandt.

"Wait, tanong ko kay Arden."

Sya kasi yung assigned sa compilation nung mga slides na ginawa ng group namin. Noong una ako na yung nagvolunteer kasi ayoko magreport pero dahil nahuli yung part nya in-email ko na lang sa kanya para sya na maglagay ng part nya.

Taga-next lang ako nung slideshow. Ang saya.

I looked around but he already got out of the room.

I saw him descending the stairs so I followed him. Noong nasa landing na ay tsaka sya tumigil. Nakita kong may kausap sya sa phone.

I contemplated whether or not I should wait for him to finish his phonecall.

But I really need that file!

Sila Brandt yung magrereport tapos nagpa-excuse pa itong si Arden dahil sa company nila.

"No, Dad. It's not that..."

I just plugged my airpods so I wouldn't hear. I opened a streaming app and continued the episode although I sometimes glance at where he is standing.

I got so carried away with watching that I almost fell off the stairs when someone stood in front of me.

"Eavesdropping is not a good hobby."

"Shit!"

Muntik ko nang mahulog yung phone ko! I saw his raised eyebrow when I looked up. I stood up from the step I sat on and towered over him as he was standing three steps down.

"I'm not eavesdropping!" I defended, "I just needed the file for the report."

"I sent it to your email."

My lips parted. Oo nga no!

"Ah, ganoon ba?" napakamot ako ng batok, "Sige, bye."

I turned around so I could go up pero hinila nya yung backpack ko.

"What did you hear?"

Seryoso ang titig nya sakin.

"Wala."

"You think I believe you?"

Hinawi ko yung buhok ko para ipakita na naka-airpods ako tinanggal ko na rin iyon. Pinakita ko pa na naka max volume yung phone ko at yung pinapanood ko. Nag-iwas sya ng tingin.

"Believe it or not, I wasn't listening."

"Fine," he said while not glancing at my phone that's still in front of his face.

Mabilis syang bumaba ng hagdan.

I shook my head in disbelief then turned my phone around.

My eyes widened when I saw what the two main characters are doing on screen. A blush crept on my cheeks realizing that I shoved this scene to Arden's face!

What the hell! Of all scenes!?

Bakit yon!?

I don't think I can ever face him without remembering this!

I tried to hide the blush on my cheeks when I gave the flashdrive to Brandt. My mind kept going back to the scene earlier!

Ugh! My reputation!

'Pag pinagkalat nya yon bakla sya!

Pinilit ko na lang ang pag-focus sa pag-next ng slide. It's a good thing because for a while, my attention was diverted.
