Maggie's story

Saturday 2:48 pm
It was Saturday and Esme was at her friend's house so It was only me. I could not sleep after that night, the only thing I could think about was him... my mind was full of thoughts about him. I was happy that I did not meet him... it would have been really awkward and I wouldn't know what to do, so not meeting him was the best. My heart was heavy and I was a total mess the whole day, I could not think of anything else, but him...

Suddenly I heard the doorbell, I was afraid, afraid it would be the one I thought it was... my step felt heavy, in my mind I was hoping it was not him, but what about my heart? I did not know why but I wanted it to be him... it felt like a long way walking to the door, it felt like time has stopped. The closer I got to the door the heavier my breath was and my heart was beating faster than ever... when I opened the door there was my best friend Mac. He stood there and looked at me with a bright smile while holding a rubber bag. His shiny teeth showed when he smiled and his brown/blonde hair was very messy. He looked at me with his light green eyes and he was there at the right timing. I needed someone to talk to and Mac is the one who knows me best apart from... Byron.

-whats up Mag? He shouted and went inside.

-did I say you can come in? I questioned sarcastically and smiled.

He is the only one who has stayed beside me since I was born. My parents were always busy so I always stayed at his house. He supported me on everything even if he knew it was impossible. His parents were like my parents so we were like siblings.

-Should I go then? He asked

-you know I was just kidding Mac, I hurriedly said after he said: should I go then?

I needed someone to talk to and the perfect person was here and I could not risk the chance of letting him go and when I say something he doesn't take it as a joke.

-You don't have to take things too seriously, I added

-so won't you ask me what I'm here for? He asked while he put his things on the sofa.

-I'm not that interested in what you're here for, I said sarcastically while I got closer to him.

- I just wanted to talk to you, because of em... I heard you and Byron are neighbors, he said nervously while looking down.
