I Let The Road Decide

chapter 8

Logan's pov

After a few days of moving back into my home and cleaning and fixing it, now it was home where I can raise Jax. I also got Jax enrolled in school now, so all I had to do is tell my parents that I'm back home and I am happy and so is he, not to mention having them sign over their rights to me so I can have full custody Jax. I knew they would question me but I was ready for it so I can live a happy life with my son as a family.

              Next day
I woke up next to Jax in my bed which was surprising cause he has a bed and his own room. I didn't think any of it so I got out of bed so I could make breakfast and get him to school, to be honest I thought I would never be doing this making breakfast and seeing my kid off to school but I was happy that I am. When I went into the kitchen I made him eggs, bacon toast with grape jelly on it, I didn't really know what he likes but I'm trying. After cooking his breakfast, I went to wake him up, when I went back into the room I seen that he was laying on the left side of the bed, which was Mike's spot. I sat on the edge of the bed and said, " Jax, wake up kiddo it's to get ready for school." He woke up and stretched and he said, " Okay mom," he got out of bed and went to his room and got dressed. He sat by the island and said, " Mom can I have breakfast?" I smiled and grab his plate and put down next to him on the island and said, " Way ahead of you Jax." He look and smiled and dug right in so I mean I guess that's a good thing. Then after a few minutes he was done and then I said, " Grab your things and let's get you off to school kid." He grab his things and said, " Can we take the pickup?" I nodded and he headed out to the garage and got into the pickup. I grab the keys out of the bowl on the entry table and realized the keys were Mike's cause he always had a picture of me on his keys. Then I heard the truck's horn go off and then I ran to the garage and Jax look at me and then I got in, I started the truck and we left the garage and now we were off to his school. I turned on the radio and then Jax said, " What are you going to do today mom?" I look at him and then back at the orad and said, " Well Jax I am going to run a few arons and then around lunch time go see Grandma and Grandpa about you and I. Then I'm going to the clubhouse and vote on a few things and maybe fix a few cars or motorcycles. Then going to pick you up from school then go home and help you with homework and then fix dinner." He look at me and said, " Can you tell Grandma and Grandpa I love them and I miss them? And your day is going to busy." I look at him and then back at the road and smiled and said, " Don't worry little Reaper I will tell them and yeah it is cause that is a thing about becoming the leader of a club." He look confused then said, " Okay mom," He turned up the volume and then after a few I turned into the school and park the car and waited for him to get out of the car and then I said, " Have a good day at school Jax I love you." He look surprised and said, " I will mom and love u to." Then he shut the door and he waved back to me and I waved back then I left and while heading back home I get a call from my mom. I answered and said, " Hello."
" Hey honey we are in town, where did you want to meet?" .... Mom

I had to think for a minute and then I said, " Umm there's this place it's and ice cream shop called, " Kyle's ice cream, " it's right on main Street." .... Logan

" Okay Logan, we see it, see you then sweetheart. Love you".... Mom

" See you then and love u to Mom." Then we both hung up and after a few minutes I stop at Kyle's ice cream then before getting out I grab the envelope with the stuff signing their rights to me. I took a deep breath and got out out of the car and then shut the door and walk inside and trying to see where they sat down and they sat by the right big window. I walk over there and they stood up and gave me hugs and then we both sat down and they said, " It's great to see you and see you are doing well."
I smiled and said, " It's great to see you guys too and yeah Jax and I are doing well and he wanted me to tell you guys that he misses you guys and he loves you guys."
They smiled and said, " Aww, tell him we miss him to and we love him too. To be honest why are we are here."
I look down and grab the envelope and said, " I'm here to see you guys so you guys can sign over your right to me if you can."
They look shock and said, " Oh.... Why now and give us a good explanation."
I look at them and said, " The reason why now is cause I want to raise my kid and finally be a mother to my kid. Even though I'm a single mom and now starting to get into my kid's life. Let's start from the beginning when I gave Jax to you guys and I left. I left cause Mike's brother was after me and I didn't want Luke to kill me and take away my child from my arms. So I made the decision of giving him up to you guys then be on the road cause I knew Like would follow me but not Jax. So that's why I was always on the road and then I realized when Jax came and found me, first I didn't want him then after fighting those guys in the bar and seeing him frightened I knew I have to face my problems head on if I wanted my kid in my life. So that's why and now look I have a house a truck and and a job, and on a good note he is enrolled into a school and he also has friends now. So thats why I want you guys to sign over your right, I know it doesn't seem fair and it's not and I apologise for that."
They were full of tears while I said that and they look at each other and then my mom said, " We never knew Logan and sorry that we didn't believe you. And don't apologize you don't need to."
Then my dad said, " Where are are the papers?"
I sled the envelope to him and I look at my mom while he was opened the envelope and pulled the papers out, " It's fine mom you guys were just doing the right thing." She smiled and held my hand my dad signed the papers then he gave the papers to my mom and she signed them. Then my dad said, " Logan we will always love you and Jax no matter what and I know you are gonna be a great mother to him." I was tearing up and then I smiled and said, " Thanks mom and dad and I won't let anything happen to him." They smiled and so did then they look at the time and said well we better get going we have a plane to catch to London." I nodded and said, " Well I will let you guys go then." We three both stood up and gave each other hugs and said are goodbyes and now I have full rights to my kid.
