I Let The Road Decide

chapter 6

Logan's pov

After eight hours of being on the road we finally made it to Lakeview, Oregon but we still we a ways off of being at home which is Jacksonville, Oregon. While riding I can tell Jax was getting tired and it was one o'clock in the morning, I decided to make a stop at a motel across from a gas station. I got off the bike and payed for a room for the rest of the night, I went back outside to take Jax to the room but I can tell he was too tired walk. I pick him up and said, " When we get into the room you can finally get some rest." He look at me and shook his head while rubbing his eyes, when we got into the room I took his backpack off, shoes and jacket and tuck him in and gave him a kiss on the forehead. While he was sleeping I decided to take a shower cause I needed to relax, I took my shower and during my shower I kept thinking how much my life is going to change with having my kid with me and being the president of the club. After taking my shower I dried off and put some pants on and a tank top and slept in the chair cause there was only one bed and also to keep a lookout for Mike's brother in case he caught up to us. I had the curtains open and while sleeping, Everytime a care went by with there lights I woke up and went back to sleep. I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, I look at the caller ID and it was John then I answered my phone

" Hello." ... Logan

" Hey Logan I'm just checking up on you guys and see if you guys have made it close to Jacksonville yet." ... John

" We are doing fine, we just needed to rest for a bit before making it the rest of the way and we are in Lakeview but we still have maybe two close to three hours before we get there." ... Logan

" That's great news and do you want to call up the guys for the emergency club meeting?" ... John

" Yes I want you to call the meeting and I will see you then." ... Logan

" Ok Logan sure thing, I will call the guys up and see you then." ... John

I hung up the phone and Jax was sitting up in the bed, he had a smile on his face and said, " What are you smiling about little Reaper?" He shrugged and I shook my head while smiling, I stood up and walk over to him and sat on the bed and said, " Let's get ready for the rest of the ride, ok." He smiled and said, " Ok mom..... I Love you." My eyes widened and then I cleared my throat and said, " I Love you too kiddo with all my heart." He gave me a tight hug and I kissed him on the forehead and said, " Let's get ready." He smiled and got ready while I did to and then we left the room and got on the bike and put on are helmets and then we took off. While riding I was deciding if I wanted to show Jack, his father's grave or tell him something I made up but after and an hour and half I finally decided to show him his father's grave.

             ......... Two and a half hours later

We finally made it to Jacksonville but before I went to the clubhouse I had to show Jax his grave so we went to the cemetery and stop. I took off my helmet and and got off the bike and said, " Jax come with me, I have to show you something before heading to the clubhouse." He look at me with confusion and said, " Ok mom but what do you have to show me?" I said, " You will see Jax," I said that while not trying to cry. Jax grab my hand then he decided to hug my side while walking to Mike's grave site. After a few minutes of walking we stopped at his grave site where I was holding back my tears and trying to stay strong for Jax during this moment. I took a deep breath and said, " Jax I know you don't understand but this is why I am telling you this now." He look at me and said, " Ok mom what is it and why are we here?" I told him about what happened with his father and me finding out that I was pregnant with him and why I gave him to my parents and he started to cry, then I started to cry too and holding him then I got down on my knees and said, " I'm sorry that I didn't tell you sooner and I'm sorry that you didn't get to meet you father Jax." He look at me with tears running in his eyes and running down his cheeks and he said, " It's ok mom, you couldn't control what happened." I smiled and gave him a kiss on the forehead and wiping away his tears and then I said, " Your father would be so proud of you Jax and I can tell cause I have him in my heart." He smiled and gave me a tight hug and I hugged him back and we did this for about ten minutes, even though we were both sad it felt nice having my kid back in my arms and protecting him. Then Jax said, " Mom don't you think we should be heading the clubhouse?" I said, " Yeah it is." We pulled away and he wipe away my tears and said, " Mom we got each other now and dad is looking after us." While he was saying that it melted my heart and I smiled, " He is kiddo." After getting back on my feet we walk back to the bike and while sitting on it, I felt like someone was watching me and I turned to look behind me and seen a dude on his bike then he left. Then there was a light breeze and smelt Mike's scent that made me close my eyes and and smell, then Jax got on and look at me said, " Are you okay mom?" I said, " Yeah I'm okay just something in the air." He look at me then I started the bike and headed off to the clubhouse.
