I Let The Road Decide

chapter 5

Jax's pov

After waking up first I look over and seen my mom that she was asleep in the chair with her feet up on the table, I didn't want to wake her up so I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. After that I wanted to see the sun rise so I went outside and closed the door silently, when I walk to the parking lot. I seen the highway looked like it could go for miles and the sun rise slowly rising which it was breath taking.

Logan's pov

I woke up and put my feet on the ground and went outside and stretched and seen Jax almost standing next to the highway and seeing him happy. I walk over to him and said hey there Little Reaper, what are u doing so close to the highway?" He look at me and pointed and said, " Look mom isn't it beautiful the sun rise over the highway, is this what you ride to?" I smiled and said, " It is beautiful Jax, and Jax I let the road decide where I ride but either way the sun is either in front of me or behind me when I ride so I know I'm okay and that your still my son." He smiled and hugged me and I was shock at first but then I slowly put my left arm around  him and my right holding his head. Then I hear bikes coming from the south and seen that it was my brother in law and he was after me and gave me a warning if he caught me he would kill me. I seen him and his gang off half a mile maybe close to a mile and said, " Jax go run back into the room and grab my bag and your stuff and head to the bike and put your helmet on." He said, " Ok mom but why?" I said, " Jax I will tell you later but now go do what I said now and hurry." He ran to the room while he was doing that I was making sure they were still aways off so we could have time to leave.

Jax pov

When my mom told me to do what she said I did, I ran into the room and put my stuff in my backpack and put all my mom's stuff in her bag and ran to the bike and put on my helmet.

Logan pov

I see Jax run to the bike and then I run to him and my bike and put my helmet on but before I put down my shade I look one last time and made sure we still have to get a head start. We were both ok they were still off and that meant they would never know that we were here. I get on my bike and then Jax gets on the back and I started my bike and kick the stand up and pulled the throttle all the way and after five minutes I went to forth gear and went faster. After a while I was going maybe 90 to 95 mph and passing cars from left to right and after and hour I realized I need some gas cause I am almost sitting on E. After slowing down I seen a gas station off on a exit so I put on my right turning signal and went on the exit and pulled into gas station next to a gas pump. Jax got off then I did and said," Jax let's go to the bathroom and grab a small breakfast and some gas and get back on the road and head to California where we will stop for the night ." He said, " Ok mom." I smiled and thought to my self while walking and thinking I need to call John.
... John was and still a great father in law who I trusted cause he help me with being pregnant and dealing with the death of my husband. I was also helping him deal with his son being gone, he also is the one I put in charge of the club till one day I came back.
After we both went to the bathroom, I found a booth and sat down with Jax and we ordered are food and now we are waiting for are food and are drinks. While waiting I decided to call John, after ringing a couple of times he answered and said, " Hello."
" Hey John it's me Logan. I have some stuff to tell you." ...Logan
" Yeah what's going on and how is my grand son, is he doing ok." ... John
" Well we are coming back to Oregon and I don't want anyone to know but when I do come your way call a meeting at the club house. Jax is doing ok." ... Logan
" That's great news Logan I'm happy you are coming back but that also means my son is chasing isn't he. And that's good to hear."..
.John
" It is and yeah he is chasing me and that's why I'm coming back. Yeah it is." ... Logan
" Dammit, I'm sorry girl." ...John
" Hey it's not your fault John, none of it is and thank you." ...Logan
" Ok Logan and your welcome kiddo and when you call me and give me a heads up trust me I will get the guys down here." ...John
" Ok John, see you soon."... Logan
" See you soon Logan." ... John
I ended the phone call and are drinks we served to us and Jax said, " Mom who was that?" I said, " Someone you will meet soon." He said, " Ok mom." I decided to smile and drink my water and after waiting a while are food came and we ate are food and paid for our food. Then I went to the cashier to pay for my gas, then we walk outside and to the gas pump, he decided to sit on the bike while I pump the gas into my bike. I look at the sky and realized that it's four o'clock in the afternoon which meant we better hurry to reach our destination cause we were in Winnemucca, Nevada so we are close to reaching are destination. I finally finished pumping the bike with gas and put the gas cap on the bike and Jax put on his helmet and so did I and we both got on the bike and got back on the highway.
