“Ma'am, it's from your mother again. I think you should take it.” Sanjana said to Nandini following her to the dining area of the banquet hall in the second floor. Sanjana was Nandini's junior in the event organising company they worked for and was in her training period under Nandini as her PA.
Sanjana had Nandini's mobile in her hand that had been ringing for the past one hour flashing sometimes her mother's name, her sister's name or her aunt's name. Nandini had been quite busy to attend any of her calls and the end result being her letting Sanjana take care of it for her. But, Sanjana could take only business calls not the ones flashing across the screen for so long.
“I exactly know what it is about and it's better if I don't answer it right now. Do you think the cutlery is enough?” Nandini answered her first and then questioned her about the cutlery arrangements as they reached the end of the buffet table.
“Yes ma'am! This room can accommodate not more than a 100 people and this might be just enough for it. The staff is here to make sure that the used plates and stuff would be cleansed immediately for the next batch.” Sanjana said looking at the huge stack of utensils on the table and Nandini nodded satisfied at the double verification of the arrangements.
The event was a conference for all the businessmen across the country and the success of this would mean that they'll get a great deal of contacts for their company's future endeavours. This had to go well at any cost.
Nandini was appointed as the supervisor for arrangements before the actual conference which actually meant that her work for the night was done and she could finally go home after a tiring shift at the venue of almost 12 hours. Like Nandini and Sanjana's usual routine even today Nandini was driving her to the bus stop before going to her apartment.
