'I grew a flower that couldn't be bloomed'
.
"I do."
Time seemed to stop as the words left your lips. Todoroki watched the scene unfold in front of him with a stoic face which contrasted to the people around him who were smiling and some even cheered for the newly-wed couple. He glanced at Midoriya who sat beside him; is he sobbing?
Todoroki exhaled.
Party, especially wedding, is not for him.
As the ceremony finished, it was time for socialising and dinner. Todoroki sat next to Bakugo (who over the years able to slowly controlled his temper), and opposite of him sat Midoriya who sat next to Uraraka.
"Before we begin dinner, I would like to say something."
It was your mother. Mrs. (L/n) in a light blue colour dress stood up from her seat with a glass of champagne in her hand. Her face was brimming with happiness as she gazed into you in a beautiful wedding gown.
"I remembered the first day you two met," she said as she turned to Yaoyorozu who sat next to you, holding your hands as she looked at her mother-in-law. "You two were so little, running around in this garden during spring. I remembered you two picking up a handful of white carnations and ran up to me and your mother-" Mrs. (L/n) gestured at Mrs. Yaoyorozu, "- with flower crowns on your head. Who would have thought the day you two will marry would come? It's as if everything was right from the beginning."
You and Yaoyorozu giggled together. Your angelic smile, reserved for your partner, adorned your face mirroring your partner. The rest of the guests smiled, some even awed at your story of how you and your partner first met.
Right, it's as if everything was destined from the beginning.
Todoroki could tasted something bitter on his tongue.
When your mother's speech with a toss to the newly-wed, dinner then officially began. Todoroki ate his dinner quietly while others around him were chatting and try to catch up on what they have missed over the years. The topic of the conversation then switched to you and your wedding.
"This is so good!" Uraraka exclaimed. Her eyes were sparkling as she enjoyed her dinner.
"I heard that Momo ordered a team of chefs from (Y/n)'s favourite restaurant for the wedding- ribbit," Asui commented as she gingerly ate her food.
"I'm so envious of (Y/n) having Momo did all of these for her," Ashido exclaimed. "I wish my fiancé would do something like this for me."
Todoroki took another bite of his food. The food and drinks tasted bland on his tongue.
After the guests all finished their dinner and had their shares of cakes, it was time for the dance floor to open. You walked to the dance floor with Yaoyorozu for the first dance. The lights dimmed, providing a romantic atmosphere as you and her got ready for the first dance you two prepared. Both of you slowly moved along the music as you both gazed into each others eyes as if no one was looking at you two.
The sounds of the party could be faintly heard as he gazed at the moon. A whiff of sugar and cloves filled the air as the summer wind gently carried the scent of the carnation flowers. Todoroki gingerly took a sip of his champagne as he stared at the garden full of blooming carnations. He heard a faint footsteps nearing him but he did not paid attention, assuming it was some guest who need to take a break from the party or merely just wanting to admire the moon like him.
"You left, shitty-head."
"Bakugo," Todoroki hid his surprised and acknowledged the blonde male with a calm voice.
