Chapter seven : New friends

/ Today was a special day. Layla had had two special and rather pleasant meetings.
It all started when Shockwave called her in his lab. All Layla knew was that Shockwave wanted to show her something. Once arrived at the lab, Shockwave was obviously present. He walked over to her and took her in his servo\

Shockwave : Greetings Layla, today I want you to meet someone.

Layla : Oh ? Who ?

Shockwave : His name is Predaking.  I'm going to introduce you to him.

Layla : Why do you want me to meet him ? You know I'm not good with .. new relationship.

Shockwave : However, you communicate very well with the Decepticons. So it's illogical for you not to meet Predaking.

Layla : But the Decepticons are different Shockwave.

Shockwave : Illogical.

/ Layla sighed. It would be pointless to discuss about this. Shockwave took her to another part of his lab. Another robot was indeed present. It was an orange and black dragon with bright yellow eyes. It was huge and his claws and teeth were as sharp as razor blades.
The beast looked at Shockwave and began to sniff. He smelled .. a different scent. A human one\

Shockwave : Predaking, this is Layla. The human I told you about.

/ Predaking approached Shockwave's servo and began to sniff Layla. The girl did nothing, she just looked at the beast. He was impressive indeed. She was really fascinated. Shockwave put her down and went back to work.
Layla began to stroke the beast. Predaking purred. He seemed to like it\

Layla : So you're a sort of dragon ? That's cool. I didn't know that there were animals on Cybertron.

/ They started to have fun. Predaking was starting to appreciate Layla a lot. She was gentle despite her rather cold and distant personality. Shockwave had told him that she was special and that she was rejected for that. He found it stupid honestly. But humans were creatures he didn't generally like. So it hadn't surprised him. In any case, he was happy to have some company.
After a few hours, Shockwave heard a noise. He looked away from the computer.

It came from the room where Predaking and Layla were. He walked over to that room and what he saw was .. surprising. Layla was on  Predaking and he was running and jumping around the room. The young girl laughed loudly. The noise must have come from Predaking jumps.
They noticed the presence of Shockwave. Predaking stopped and Layla looked at him\

Layla : Hi Shockwave.

Shockwave : What are you doing exactly ?

Layla : We're having fun.

Shockwave : Fun ? This is what you call fun ?

Layla : Yup. Predaking put me on his back and he started running. And it amused me.

Shockwave : It's quite illogical.

Layla : Is there something logical for you ?

/ Shockwave sighed and took Layla in his servo. He had to make tests again with her. Predaking followed them. He didn't want to leave her. He wanted to .. protect her. Maybe because of his animal instincts.
It surprised Shockwave by the way. He already appreciated her even if he had just met her. Indeed Layla had a certain effect on everyone.
Later in the day, Layla takes a walk in the Nemesis. She had to go see Megatron in an hour so in the meantime, she was thinking of going to see Knockout and Breakdown. But fate had put her in the way of someone else.
Indeed on her way, there was a decepticon that she never saw. It was a blue and golden robot with a very impressive armor. He just seemed to be passing by. But that didn't stop their eyes from meeting. At first, nobody said anything. Then the decepticons started to talk\

? : What are you doing here human ?

Layla : I'm walking around. I never saw you before. Who are you ?

Dreadwing : I'm Dreadwing. And you ?

Layla : Layla.

Dreadwing : Oh I remember. You are the human that Lord Megatron told me about.

Layla : I guess.

/ There was a silence for a moment. But Dreadwing decided to approach her and kneel in front of her. Layla thought he was going to do something but no\

Dreadwing : How about we continue our walk together little one ?

Layla : Hm ? You're kind of nice for a Decepticon. That's odd.

Dreadwing : It is true that I'm not cruel or sadistic. But I'm loyal to the Decepticon's cause. And I can be violent if I want to or need to.

Layla : I see. Well why not. I just have to see Lord Megatron in a hour.

/ Dreadwing took Layla and placed her on his shoulder. Then he continued walking. They got to know each other. Layla learned that Dreadwing had a twin brother but who unfortunately had been killed by the Autobots. And he was brought back to life by Starscream with the dark energon so that in the end he was a zombie. It was clearly stupid of Starscream she had to admit. She was surprised besides that he was still there after that\

Layla : Why it doesn’t surprise me ? Anyway .. Sorry but empathy is not my thing.

Dreadwing : Don't be. It is in the past now. And I have to live with it.

Layla : Hm-Hm. I'm surprised that you didn't try to kill Starscream for what he had done to your brother.

Dreadwing : I wanted to make him pay yes. But as I said before, I'm loyal to the Decepticon's cause. Lord Megatron told me to not do anything. So I didn't.

Layla : Hm I see [Starscream is so lost that he does things without thinking. I hope that the gem I gave him will change him somehow]. It was wise of you Dreadwing. I'm impressed.

/ Dreadwing smiled. They continued chatting for several minutes. Knockout, Breakdown and Megatron had told him about her. He didn't know what to think of her at first. He was neutral. But by getting to know her, it is true that she was in good company despite her strange personality. Unfortunately, she had to go see Megatron. Perhaps he would have a more in-depth opinion after talking to her more.
Even if she wasn't great at communication, Layla still made two friends today. Maybe the Decepticons was going to change her \
