Break Time

We were given an hour break for our lunch before the next round so I meet up with Mina, Tsu looking upset then congratulates us both for making it to the next round where Mina admits that Bakugou chose her to be able to defend against Todoroki's ice attacks where she doubts if her ability is worth it. I assure Mina saying shes got a strong quirk which is pro material so she doesnt need to doubt herself where she says "but your quirk is stronger Yu, I mean you have a defense against both Bakugou and Todoroki who are the strongest" so I say thats true but still I wasnt able to protect the 10 million points where Tsu says "at least you made it to the next round"

I check my phone where I see a text from dad saying "Good job on making it to the next round, lets have lunch together if you can go out for a bit" so I reply saying "I dont think I can leave and Im having lunch with my friends at the cafeteria", dad then replys "have fun. Me and mom will be going out a bit where we can get you something as a snack for later" where I reply "Ok, thanks".

Me, Mina, Tsu and Ochako make it to the cafeteria where we meet Yaoyorozu, Jirou and Hagakure so all of us class 1-A girls decide we will sit together so we proceed to buy our food so I order a mapo tofu meal set with rice and miso soup where I ask for an extra spicy one since spice helps me with my fire breath giving it extra power also I grab some warm water too in order to soothe my throat because all my fire breathing for the last match dried my throat out where I was on the verge of losing my voice.

As we all sit down we chit chat to get our mind off things. Hagakure who I havent really spoken to yet tells me in her usual bubbly voice "Ryuzetsu you know youre pretty cute so do you have a boyfriend" where I say "no because boys are not on my mind now and we have more important things to focus on" so she says "come on there has got to be someone because everyone has a crush".

Before we can continue our convo Mina says to me, Ochako and Yaoyorozu "cheers to us making it to the next round" where she holds up her glass then we all have a toast but I say "its too early to celebrate though since we dont even know if we will do well on the next round" so she says "dont be too pessimistic Yu, we just have to do our best" where I reply good point. Jirou who I also havent really spoken to yet asks me about what exactly my quirk is where I tell her its called dragon then I explain what I can do where she says "cool quirk there" then tells me about her which is basically super hearing with her earphone jacks as well as enhancing sounds.

It feels great getting to know the other girls in class by bonding like this where I hope we can be a tight group who will work together when we become pros. We all continue to talk while I take bites of my food to make sure I dont eat too slow.

Suddenly Kaminari and Mineta approach us where I wonder in annoyance what they want with us this time, honestly I find those two annoying that at times I just want to barbecue them with my quirk. Mineta tells Yaoyorozu shes on the class commitee then he points to a group of random girls wearing cheerleader outfits saying we have to do a cheer which surprises us, Jirou gets flustered at the idea while Yaoyorozu admits that shes never heard of such event but Mineta being a manipulative prick convinces her saying him and Kaminari were asked by Mr. Aizawa to remind us in case we forgot.

*timeskip*

We are now wearing cheerleader outfits where Yaoyorozu says "weve been tricked" then she asks herself why she always falls for Mineta's dirty tricks admitting she used her quirk to make those outfits where Ochako pats her back to comfort her. Jirou says in annoyance "theyre idiots" but Hagakure lightens the mood saying "but there is time before the finals so we should do it" where she rapidly shakes her pompoms. I then say "this outfit is kind of cute actually" while swaying the pompoms side to side which made Jirou cringe at me and Hagakure where Tsu says "those two sure like it".

President Mic then announces the next event which will be a fun recreational competition where after that sixteen people from the teams who made it to the next round will compete in the final stage which is a one on one fight. Kirishima then gets excited saying its a dream come true since he has seen this every year on TV where Mina asks him what exactly happened last year then Sero says it might be different now from whatever it was before but its still going to be a one on one fight.

I tell Mina "Im so excited because this is my time to shine" in which she says "yeah where we should give it our fighting spirit" Kirishima says "this is the real deal so lets do this" then Sero says to me "I hope you dont get crushed like a bug" which ticks me off so I punch him on the stomach where he holds it in pain saying "oww, I was just telling you to be safe" so again Kirishima says "that was unmanly" that touched my heart since Kirishima once again stood up for me.

I was so touched then I started to wonder what he thinks of me wearing this cheerleader outfit and if my hair which is tied up in a bun is still intact, I look at his back facing me where I examine his muscular arms and body thinking he has cut where I didnt know I was reaching out to touch him until Mina snaps me out of my thoughts saying "Yu what are you doing reaching for Kirishima" where I saw my hand about to touch Kirishima's back where I panick saying "nothing" then Kirishima turns around saying "what is it Ryuzetsu" which made me freeze up shaking a bit somehow being unable to look at him so I say "uhhhhh.....hope we win this" really quickly before I move away from him because it just felt so awkward like why am I acting like this.

Midnight then announces shes going to draw lots for the pairings saying once theyre done the battle will start after the recreation round which is actually optional since we can rest to replenish our strength. Ojiro interrupts saying he is going to withdraw saying he doesnt really recall much of the calvary battle so he cant participate not knowing what is happening also explaining that he is aware of how its not a smart decision to throw away this opportunity which everyone of us fought for. After his speech he then asks all of the girls why we are all dressed as cheerleaders where none of us know how to answer him.

Soon after some random person from class B withdraws stating its for the same reason as Ojiro which Midnight happily accepts then announcing that whoever team came next for the last battle can come up to take the now vacant slots where some girl with long orange hair from class B nominates one of the guys there with this weird eyemask thing around his eyes.

The drawing results come out where I look for my name to see that Im against Iida. I overhear him telling Midoriya "my opponent is an easy one because shes small and all I have to do is dodge her fire breath" which ticks me off giving me the urge to beat his ass now, Midoriya then tells him "dont be fooled because she may be smaller than us but shes tough" so Iida replys "I can do it dont worry about me".

Ochako then comes up to me worried saying shes against Bakugou so I tell her I would be more than happy to trade with her because I want to beat up Bakugou so I go up to Midnight asking if me and Ochako can trade opponents which unfortunately she doesnt allow so I just wish Ochako the best of luck telling her to beat him up badly.

President Mic then announces the start of the recreation activity which is a scavenger hunt others go around the arena looking for cards so we know what items to get. Given this event is optional I just hang out with Ochako and Yaoyorozu who are cheering for our class where I do some somersaults, round off flips and air tumbles to get the cheerleader vibes since I did have dreams of being a cheerleader in elementary school where seeing their moves intrigued me, this is also some practice on my own stunts too for battle as well as get my mind off things making my body feel lighter with those moves.

By the time we knew it break time is up and its time for the finals
