Loanne was the only child of Paul and Bianca, and the youngest sister to the twins. She was the poster child for puberty at the tender age of twelve, her features weren't yet in her favour with blemished cheeks and braces. Whilst Delia fought with everybody, Loanne was the one who got under her skin the most.

Even at the breakfast table, Loanne kicked Delia's chair repeatedly, "Bug off!" she'd screech, "Stop kicking!" Delia raised her voice again, in return Loanne got a kiss on the forehead from Bianca who wasn't paying much attention to them fighting while cooking breakfast.

Loanne stuck her tongue out, and was greeted with a swift middle finger from the other end of the table. Macy leaned over to Delia, "I've got a chemistry test." she stressed, attempting to retreat from their plan to ditch school. Delia moved a cereal box in front of them and bent down so they'd be only half seen, "We are going." she insisted. Macy sat up to think for a moment, "No."

Delia tugged her back down, "Yes." even her whispers were demanding. Macy finally gave in, like she had a choice either way. It wasn't that she didn't want to know about her father because she did. It was more the fear of authority that scared her the most. Bianca removes the cereal box from view, "What're you two planning?" she queried, it reminded her of how she was at that age...

"Probably talking about Dean!" Loanne chimes in where she shouldn't have, then sticks a mouthful of cereal in her mouth. Delia shoots her the deadliest glare. "Tell me this is just another modern girl name." Bianca prayed to heaven, she couldn't even think about her girls on dates, "Or perhaps one of you have a mystery boyfriend?"

Delia sighs, "Absolutely not! We were discussing the field trip." she lied. Delia couldn't tell the truth ever. Macy nods in agreeance. Bianca crosses her arms, "Oh? Why didn't you tell me about it then?"

"I'm afraid we forgot." said Macy. "Must've slipped our minds." Delia adds, shrugging her shoulders. Bianca glances to the clock, realising they were about to be late for the bus, "You'd better get a move on then!" she swept the kids out. As the three of them left the kitchen side door, Bianca races out after them with packed lunches, "Wait! Where is this field trip?" she wondered.

"Boring ole' Shakespeare museum." Macy urged to catch the bus. Bianca smiled at her beautiful girls wondering where the years went, "Remember you've got to be back by 6 pm. It's Paul's birthday gathering." she reminded them. Delia gave her a captain wave, and they marched down the road to the bus stop. Delia inspects the packed lunch then throws hers in someone's trash can along the way.

At the bus stop Delia pulled Macy aside. The pair began to walk in the opposite direction until Loanne called out for them, waving her arms and shouting, "Where're you going?!" she raced after them, "I'm telling mom you're ditching." she stomped in the dirt.

"No... we are.." Macy stared at Delia for an excuse, "We're on the way to the library." she said proudly. Loanne squinted at them, "I'm not a baby. Cough up or I'll run screaming real loud all the way home. You know mom will hear it and you'll both be dead."

Delia held back the urge to slap her across the face, "Fine." she growled, "You little devil." Delia jeered passing her a crisp five dollar bill. Loanne disapproved, "That'll cover the afternoon."

"I'll do your chores for a week." Macy bargained with her. "Two." Loanne smiled bright with shiny braces, the bus drove up to the stop. "Two. Now get lost." Delia spat, waving her off. The twins strolled down the footpath again, "I hate kids!" Delia exclaimed loudly.

Delia drowsed her forehead against the window of the train, it fogged from the steam of her mouth. She breathed harder against it, allowing the glass to cloud even more so she could doodle a little love heart with two D's on it. One for her and another for Dean. Macy leaned over her to swipe it clean then sat up straight again, "You're uptight." Delia spat.

"Can we not do this here? You're the one who forced me to come." Macy said anxious at ditching school and disobeying her mother. Delia didn't understand how her twins brain worked, but it was the same for Macy as well. "I never forced you. Plus we're going to do this so that we can have some sort of closure." Delia confirmed.

"I don't need closure. I don't need a father. I have Paul, that's all I need." Macy said stubbornly, hating the idea of change. In all honesty she was afraid... always so afraid. Delia turned to her sister, "Aren't you curious? Aren't you aching to know who he is and why our own mother would break down every time we even mention his name?"

Macy's brain twisted, her thoughts turned, she didn't know how to feel, "This could be a huge mistake. He could be a horrible person."

"But this could be the best single thing we've ever done. Don't you want to take the chance?" Delia's eyes were big. Macy smiled for once, she's always far to serious for her own good, she held onto her sisters cuffed hands, "I really hope so." she said lightening up to the idea.
