In Love With The Devil

Chapter 17

I took a deep breath and asked "how did you fall or why did you fall?" Lucifer didn't look nearly as shocked as I thought he'd be. He took  a seat on one of the stools and I sat on another facing him. Lucifer took a deep breath and said "I've been expecting this question to come sooner or later. I guess I should start with when my father, God as you know him, created you well... humans."

"We always had to do what we were told, us angels I mean. It wasn't fair to us, you humans could do anything you wanted..." he paused and looked at me, I gave an encouraging look and Lucifer continued "you humans could love anyone and everyone, and I feel in love with one." That sentence hurt a little but then I remembered his earlier words 'I love you more than any other.' He went on "It was forbidden for an angel to love anyone except God, we weren't suppose to interfere in your lives unless told to do so... but I wasn't the only to fall in love with a human. Although I was the first to rebel. As time went on other joined me, I've fallen in love many times." Lucifer looked at me again and took my hands in his.

"I may have loved many Valerie, but I've never loved anyone like I love you. I don't believe I could exist without you now, if we aren't soulmates, I don't know what we are. You are the light to my darkness..." He paused, he seemed afraid to continue, so I gave his hands a small squeeze to let him know it's okay. Lucifer took a deep breath and said "unless you have any more questions you have a decision to make... a very important one whatever you decide I will follow through with it."

I sat there for a moment letting all he has said sink in. I wasn't sure what to totally make of hell, dreams, fallen angels, and weird creatures. I was sure of the fact that I don't think I could go on without Lucifer. I believe us to be soulmates or something close. I also know he can give me my dream but will he be able to give me a family, will we  be able to get married? Can we have kids? I needed to know so i looked at him and he must of thought I was going to tell him no because he looked so defeated and said "I'll take you home and let the other angels know."

Lucifer stood beside me ready to take me home until I replied "no wait, I have two more questions before I give my answer." He breathed a small sigh of relief but I could tell he was still on edge when he stated "go on..." Now it was my turn to take a deep breath, and asked "will we be able to get married and will we be able to have..." I paused I was a tad embarrassed to ask "...a family?" He slowly smiled and chuckled and asked "are those things that you want?" I simply replied "yes, they are." Lucifer's smile grew as he said "yes we can get married and yes we can have kids, although they would be half angel and half human. Our marriage here is a little different too but nothing terrible." I couldn't help but think the worse and he must of noticed.

"We exchange rings and a tattoo here on the back of the neck, a half and half tattoo or a matching tattoo. That's all Valerie,and it's to link your life to mine." I closed my eyes in relief I mean this is hell after all. Since he was standing beside me still so I stood in front of him and took his hands. He watched me not totally sure what I was planning. I then said "Lucifer, I love you and I will gladly stay here with you in by your side forever more." He smiled so wide and kissed me.
