After Amy came inside I led her to the kitchen for some tea since she doesn't drink coffee. What can I say I live in London and drink coffee, I'm strange. She sat at the table and sipped some of her tea and simply said "spill." I started at the beginning and told her all about Roland; he's a mythology professor specializing in angels, he doesn't have any family animal is snakes, his favorite color is black, he loves this time of year fall, he's twenty-two years old, and has done some traveling to; America: where he did his schooling, Germany for some type of seminar, and Japan for I believe a friends wedding.

Amy bit her lip and said "well, what about his personality, his soul?" I bit my own lip and replied "he was a gentleman, helped me with my coat, chair, opened my door for me, and walked me to the door. He was very attentive and listened to what I said and even asked question. Roland was funny, charming, nice, but formal at the same time."  I knew I was practically beaming from ear to ear and Amy noticed while poking me she said "you're really into him..." she sounded surprised but I just nodded and took another sip of my coffee.

I looked over at the time and I started to get up to make my lunch to bring to the cafe. Since I have to be thereat eleven and it was a quarter till eleven. Amy watched and asked "has he called you today yet?" I sighed and shook my head no. Amy then gave me pitiful look which made me ask "is that a bad?" She seemed to consider it for a moment and stated "well...he could be working or might think you might you're at work right now, so he might be waiting till you get off." She stopped but it looked like she wanted to say more.

I looked at her and said "what else are you thinking?" Amy wouldn't meet my eye she then started to say "Val he might not have been... you know what, what did he say to you last night?" I took a deep breath and said " I said 'I had a lot of fun tonight, thank you' he replied with 'as did I Valerie, I hope we can do it again soon.' I replied with "I would like that very much.' Then he pecked me on the lips and said 'good, I will call you tomorrow and we will set up another date.' Why say all that if he wasn't interested?" She gave me a small, sad smile and said "I don't know Val, maybe he'll call later just don't get your hopes up, I would hate to see you get crushed. Especially by a guy."

I simply nodded and looked out the window. She gave me a pat on the shoulder and said "hey if he has any brains, he'll call, and if he doesn't it's his loss." I smiled and walked with her to the door and we both put on our coats. I made sure I had my lunch and walked with her house and continued to work.
