Prompt: Look, I can not prove what I'm about to tell you. You're going to have to trust me. We'll see, spill. I'm from the future. Are you high? God I wish I was it's slightly more legal where I'm from.
I was having a good day, we were all having a good day. But of course, like in every story something just had to go wrong. I really do hate my life. All I was doing was trying to get to school. But, nooooo. I have to be the protagonist of some stupid book. Gross. I know how this ends, I fall in love with somebody, I save the world and make life better for everyone in the present. Cliche am I right? Anyways, I was just trying to go to school. I mean, the prophecy said I wasn't supposed to save the world till the eve of my 16th birthday. I'm 12 years old right now. 12! But there I was on the sidewalk, when I saw a boy step out of seemingly nowhere and look at me. Couldn't have been more than 16. He stares at me for a few seconds before speaking. Crap, here it goes.
"Look," He begins " I can not prove what I'm about to tell you. You're going to have to trust me."
I raise my eyebrow, trust hahaha no. This wasn't supposed to happen. Regaining my composure I look at him.
"We'll see," I say cautiously, "spill."
"I'm from the future."
Future? This really wasn't supposed to happen.
"Are you high?" I scoff. Future, is he mad? He is starting to look scared now. But before I get to say something he replies.
"God, I wish I was. It's slightly more legal where I'm from."
If it was possible, I'm positive that my eyebrows would be off my face now.
"I need your help, please ." He sounds terrified now.
I almost start to pity him. Ha. I sigh, I guess the prophecy was wrong. Well there's nothing better than thwarting fate. I once again look at the now shaking and pale boy.
"Let's go."
