Prompt: You have to its tradition! Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people.
"MOM! I don't want to wear that ugly sweater I mean look at it! It's absolutely hideous!"
With Pom Poms and lights hanging off of it, it was undeniable this was the ugliest Christmas sweater I had ever seen much less worn. My mother walks into my room, glances at the sweater and winces just at the very sight of it. She turns and looks at me
"Yes I know its an ugly sweater but that's kind of the point, and besides we promised your grandmother that we would continue the tradition."
"I don't care I'm not putting that ugly thing on."
"You have to its tradition dear!"
I roll my eyes "Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people."
"Do not use that tone with me young lady and don't talk about your grandparents like that! Give them some respect they've deserve it, they worked hard for us and this family! Now put on that sweater or your grounded!"
As she walks out of the room I turn to the sweater and unfortunately and not very willingly pull it over my head. When I finish and turn to walk out the door I mutter to myself, "This is going to be one long Christmas."
