Not a story but a poem

Is it possible, that one day we could change
The decline the world is facing
By making little changes
Here and there
And over in the corner

You have the folks that shake their heads, claiming it isn't real
"Climate change is nothing but a hoax!"
They yell and howl and cheer
They all refuse to believe that the end is growing near

Then there is a few
The ones who see what's true
"People!" They cry
"Climate change is real! The problem is it's growing near!"
But their voices are drowned out
By the "influential" ones
The ones who have the money

All paid or "influenced" to believe what those believe
Cause all that matters is money, right?
At least that's what we all see,

The question is, when do we start?
When do those who believe fall into the trap?
The trap of buying and paying people out to say what they want and not playing fair

When do we start?
After it's too late?
When will we realize the game we're playing is all one big fake
We're stuck in this together
It's nothing we can change

We've all done our part,
No one can lie
Most can try to fix their mistakes
But the problem is we're afraid of change

The people in power abuse it and therefore us
For most of their decisions do affect us

When will we stop?
Playing this game
Going round and around
In this spiral of shame

We blame politicians
We blame our friends
Anything that means someone else takes the blame
The only thing is, it's our fault too

Try and try as we might
We are stuck in an endless fight
Win or lose bit by bit
There's no telling now
Win or lose we cry out loud
This wasn't a battle we could choose
