Tumakas ako sa hospital matapos kausapin ang aking mga magulang kanina nung magising ako at hinanap si Sean. Madilim na nung natanaw ko ang labas sa bintana. Sean is not around kaya ako lumabas upang hanapin siya. Inasahan kong nasa ICU siya kaya nagulat ako nung makitang mga tauhan lamang ang nandoon. Sumilip ako sa loob at tila natakasan ako ng hininga. Hindi ko maiwasan maging emosyonal kanina habang tinitignan silang dalawa sa ICU.

Nagsuot ako ng mask at gloves at tumigil upang kumuha ng lakas para pasukin ang loob. Una kong pinasok ang kwarto ni daddy. Mas close ako kay daddy, I'm a daddy's girl ever since. I'm not that open with mom but with dad, I can easily open up my feelings and such. Hindi pa nga ako nagsisimula ay naluluha na ako. Bumuntong-hininga ako at hinawakan ang kanyang kamay.

"You have to get up and scold him, okay? Walk me down the aisle, dad, at my grand wedding hmm? You still have to witness that grand wedding that you wanted for me. Gusto mo rin magkaroon ng maraming apo na lalaki diba, daddy? So please fight it, dad! I know you are strong. You are stronger than this. Get up for me, daddy please."

Tahimik akong lumuluha roon habang hawak ang kamay niya ng mahigpit. Matapos kong kumalma't pagmasdan si daddy ay agad akong lumabas at lumipat sa kabila. My mother raised me strictly and firm. Thanks to her amazing genes, I got her pretty face and slender body. I got my dad's mind and attitude, kaya minsan hindi magtagal ang galit ni mommy sa akin simula pa noong bata ako. She's always reminded of dad through me kaya in the end, she will kiss me goodnight and read stories I want when I was a child.

I understand your worry and your deep love for me." Wika ko at muling tumulo ang mga luha. I have never been this so open to my mom. Never, ngayon lang. "You always wanted the best for me, I know that. And I thank you for arranging my marriage to Sean. You are the person who showed me the real world, mom. That the world could be cruel, unfair and yet fair at the same time. You showed me love that I will never get from anyone. Your motherly love imprinted in my heart so deep that I would always cherish it."
