"DAMN, IN FOUR DAYS we're either heroes or let downs," Hayden Summerall patted Johnny on the back during football practice. It was true; if they won the game against West Angeles High, they would be champions. Johnny might even get a football scholarship. But if they lost, so many people would be let down. This type of pressure and stress was constantly building up within Johnny, he just tried to ignore it.

"We're going to win Hayden," Johnny smiled. "Asher, make sure you don't fall again during the last play though," Johnny smirked to his other best friend, Asher Angel.

"How's my superstar doing?" A voice sang, footsteps approaching the football practice. There stood Annie Leblanc, Asher's girlfriend. The slim brunette kissed Asher on the cheek, then high fived Johnny and Hayden.

"How's it going?" Annie asked smiling. She was wearing her cheer uniform with Asher's bulging hoodie on top.

"Good!" Johnny replied. Seeing Asher and Annie together always made Johnny a little uneasy. Not because he didn't think Asher and Annie were good for each other. In fact, he loved them together. It just always made him resent himself for being so closed off to relationships. Whereas Hayden took up every offer from a girl, Johnny was never interested. He dated a few girls in Sophomore year, but this year he just never felt a connection to anyone. It was just football, family, and friends.

"Practice is over guys! Make sure to eat a lot  for energy or some shit," Johnny said.

"Already on it," Hayden smirked, making his way towards a bunch of Sophomore girls.

"He has an STD!" Johnny called out to the girls, making them move away from Hayden the second he approached them.

"No I don't!" Hayden huffed. "I hate when you do that!" Hayden yelled.

"And I hate when you take advantage of younger girls. Come on Hay, let's focus on what matters here. Football!" Johnny smiled, chucking the football in his hand into Hayden's chest.

"Jesus John, all you ever take about is football. You need a break," Hayden laughed, walking off the field into the school.

Plopping on the ground, Johnny realized maybe Hayden was right. He opened up his Snapchat and realized there were messages from over 5 weeks that he never read. After answering them, he opened TikTok.

"This 'For You' shit is whack," Johnny muttered, scrolling through videos of old men dancing, vsco girls, and people who thought they were funny. Suddenly, a video of a girl dancing caught his eye. She was wearing a West Angeles shirt! Someone from his competing school. Johnny observed the video, seeing a teenaged girl who he assumed was around his age, wearing the uniform shirt and a short skirt. Her hair was in a half up half down ponytail, and she was dancing in the middle of her cafeteria laughing. This was the first time Johnny saw someone he basically almost knew on his For You Page, so he liked the video, and commented. He wondered how often he'd see people he knew on his For You Page.
