That sting of embarrassment
That feels
Like a needle in your heart
Red tinges your cheeks
When you realize
That you mean less to someone
Than you thought
That what you say
Falls on deaf ears
That asking for help
Is
Not
Enough
And you've been left
To sweep up others messes
Pick the glass out of your feet
By yourself
Yet again
Why not?
